yep. kaya nga if i were to buy a fortuner, which i'd seriously do if i have extra 1M+ to spend, i'd just pick between their 2.7L VVTi or the 3.0D4D. though i'd have the 3.0L at the top of my list since wala ng issues or flaws sa current fort.

I find the interior of the Fortuner fine, the Montero's 2nd row seems more cramped. The Everest though is the clear winner.

i've been in an everest and in a fortuner. actually, mas nasarapan ako upuan yung rear seats ng fortuner vs. everest though if its the space we're talking about, panalo na yung everest talaga. commendable din yung a/c system niya.

The Fortuner V doesn't have captain chairs in the 2nd row, I guess you have it mistaken for the Innova V.
    wala. normal seats lang siya.
I totally agree with you on this. The Innova 2.5 is arguably the most practical vehicle you can buy today so long as you don't run into any issues with the engine.

siguro you'll buy a fortuner if you're after the looks and the capability of it. kasi lets admit, hindi kaya gawin ng innova ang kayang gawin ng fort.

Given these three vehicles though, I would go with an Everest. The Pajero, no matter how tough it is, is too pricey for its age.

    same here.

*TS : if you dont need the bed of the strada then dont get one. wala lang, kasi hindi siya worth it if you wont use them or if the things that you're gonna bring with you is gonna fit in a sedan's compartment.

^ I agree on the seats. Mas comfortable ung second row seat ng Fortuner. Malalaki kasi ung bolsters and malambot.

I am able to attain 10.5-11km/L FC. Its how you use your left foot both for braking, accelerating and of course the ever cheap neutral cruising.

my bad, innova V lang pala may captains chairs.

if you're eyeing used cars, the everest will definitely be the cheapest among the three to acquire, given the same year of acquisition.

if you're getting the fort... you're gonna have to fork out a bit to get the V, or spend a lot on gasoline for the 2.7 VVT-i. The 2.5 G shares the same engine issues with its innova brethren.

just curious... are you considering the monterosport? it just got refreshed lately and is literally eating the fortuner and everest alive in the mainstream SUV segment

Yes, I was talking about the space. The Everest's seats are set too low for my comfort so it takes some time getting used to.

What I mean by the most practical is the price you pay for something that can do so much esp. if you don't go off-road or wade through floods often. The Fortuner does the same and more, but the price is a setback for its practicality.

    Ah. Montero Sport.

Yung gusto ko lang dito doc is yung engine ( VGT, really powerful ) and yung ride comfort ( softer daw vs. Fortuner & Everest ? ) pero other than that parang wala na.

If only it could be as quiet as Hyundai's CRDi and Toyota's D4D.

Ta's the looks are bland pati yung interior. Atleast for its price range I'm expect something nice inside. I really like beige interiors especially if the car's body color is white. Makes me feel I'm riding an executive car. Kaya the Fortuner's beige interior is really a big plus for me. Malamig sa mata. Relaxing.

EVEREST is the Clear winner here. Even if you compare the WL-T and 4M40, The EVEREST clearly wins in the power department, economy, and reliability -that, i can attest.

Economy - yes lamang sa FC ang everest due to again newer engine, and excellent tranny.

Reliability of engine - depende sa gumagamit kasi, but if both are properly maintained, pareho lang yan. Wala naman design flaws eh.

So IMO hindi clear winner everest.

    4M40 has 123PS whichis a 6 more from the WL-T. and 294Nm where the WL-T has 280Nm.

The WL-T has the better kick IMHO. The engine results to better breathing due to it's 12valve valvetrain.

The FM only winsfrom the Everest if it's a 4x4M/T.

actually naiingayan ako kahit sa D-4D (we have an innova, btw). maingay pa rin ba yung VGT na monterosport? the TDCi is a bit quieter than either the DiD and the D4D.

sa akin naman baliktad, I don't dig beige interiors much. it's a pain to maintain and madali madumihan, but I agree that it does look more premium than an all-black setup

personally if the TS is gunning for a pajero, I'd rather that he keep the '03 strada, and use the money to freshen it up - detail the interior, tune up the mechanicals, have it repainted (or exterior detailed), put in a more comfortable set of shocks and springs... better mags and tires, etc. etc. that is unless he needs covered cargo space or additional space for 2 more passengers.

I'm not a strada fanboy, but that video doesn't prove anything. Those are amateurs driving, they never touch the full performance level of the engine and tranny. A strada with a stronger 134ps/314NM 2.5 Crdi engine with a lighter pick-up body being beaten by a weaker 117ps/280NM 2.5 wl-t everest with a heavier body. > IMHO
