Grand Livina - ride and FC are good. It can also reach 180kph but it might break down so it's not recommended
Xtrail CVT - NVH have improved. Suspension is stiffer than the 1st gen though.
Teana - best seats in its class. Too late the hero.
Almera - even more spacious than Xtrail CVT

I agree with the S60. It is a nice and powerful SUV/CUV or whatever you want to call it. The only downside is the number of service centers, not too accessible.

I also vote for the Kia Carnival. A good van for a not so big family.

I'm another NissanBayan member, and my B13 LEC was an underrated car. It was a car that did the job right without any practical compromises.

For me, underrated cars at the practical cars that does the job of taking you from point A to B but never got the love and attention. Some of these are:

    Suzuki Alto
    Kia Picanto
    Hyundai I10 / Eon
    Suzuki Celerio
    etc.

Heck even a newly assembled Owner Jeep is a sweet ride.

I agree with the Nissan LEC, we had one from 1993 till 2006. By the time we sold it, it was still very reliable inspite of having more than 300,000km on it and the A/C was still very cold even in midday heat.

One question though, I think the current Sentra GX is also another underrated car, is this as good as the old LEC? I haven't heard anything bad about except for its appetite for fuel.

Tested our Innova 2.5 D-4D MT manual in areas like Nasugbo, Tagaytay and Baguio....

    P.S.

    Boss idol Niky Tamayo hehe

I like your true-to-the-bone review of the oldie but goody Isuzu Alterra on the other thread (wink!), especially on how vividly you described its comfort amongst all the SUVs, manoeuvring manners, stability and unparalled fuel efficiency amongst its competitors ;)

    Kind regards. Cheers!

Livina...sits 6 comfortably, 7 normal asian sized people semi comfortably.

Fold the 3rd row seats and you can fit 5 persons and 3 golf bags and more small luggage at the rear.

quick and nimble, not really a cum laude in fuel efficiency but acceptable.

    easy to drive and park.

surprisingly quick for its intended purpose which is a small people carrier, especially if there's 4 or less passengers.

acceptable pricing for bnew low end variant or get a second hand slightly used unit at Nissan reasale value prices..

Last year I got a 2011 top of the line unit for only P550k..lols pwedeng pwede na!

Yun lang talaga problem ng Innova D4D... lack of grunt. Almost as bad as the Crosswind. But on flatlands, it does okay. Then again, the Crosswind isn't that fuel efficient in mountain climbing, either.

Credit where credit is due. Talagang comfy yung Alterra. It don't give no crap about off-roading... it just aims to give passengers a comfy ride.

Na-miss ko tuloy yung Starex GRX... isa pa yang super comfy car.

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

The Zook Swift is really a nice car for its worth sir! It is commendable but at the same time it's under-appreciated amongst Pinoys. May mga bansa na mas malakas kumita ang Suzuki brand, but not here sa Pinas.

Wifey and i would love to own one, in fact hehe. i know a highly-careered guy who owns a BMW, yet his daily driver, which he also bought since he's impressed by it, is the Zuki Swift ;)

And opo sir, sa Hilux 2.5 D-4D naman, di naman ganyan kaingay sir, both manual- and auto-trans and with or w/o VNT.

When my bro, bro-in-law and myself used to carpool to Makati before, we would fight on who would get to stretch out at the back seat. :D

How about the previous generation of Kia Sorento?

This model AFAIK did not took off in terms of sales. The 2007-2008 2nd hands in the market now can be had for 480-700K. Are they not good enough, or are we not just convinced enough on the brand during the release of this model?

In terms of engine, no doubt na this is reliable given that it has the same engine as he gen 3 starex crdi...Ewan ko lang sa ibang parts kung pareho sila...

daihatsu feroza is one of the most under rated mini suv IMO, it's very well built and reliable 4x4 vehicle, it has a removable sun roof and removable resin top canopy , 23 years old na yung feroza ko hangang ngayon very fresh parin ang body at chasis,
