^^ yeah longevity, like it takes a very loooong time to get from point A to point B

plus it is the leader of the pack.

Maasahan talaga.

The Crosswind is very slow to accelerate, but it can maintain 100 km/h just fine.

    Just not uphill.

nakakita kami ng modelong U-plate na Crosswind (I think it was UIX...) na sobrang mausok as in.

my mom who hasn't got an inkling about cars suddenly remarked, "ay Izusok"

The best Crosswind model for me was the XTO a/t released back in 2001 (yes, 12 years hence). Back then it was not archaic when compared to its peers (Revo and Adventure) and even the a/t version could run a decent 80-110kph on the highway when you found the sweetspot on the accelerator pedal.

Funny thing... I was talking with another journo and the Marketing head from Isuzu (Ms. Timmy) the other night at an event.

I remarked I liked the suspension of the Alterra better than the XUV. When the topic of which Crosswind rode best came up, we both said: "XTO" at the same time.

Even the Isuzu people liked that Crosswind best. My favorite ever.

Hmm~ Perhaps they should resurrect the XTO variant. The XTi was nice, but it isn't available anymore, and it wasn't as practical as the XTO. This does seem to be the most well balanced among them all, being lighter than the Sportivo but still having all the top end features. Back then people were also impressed with it being the first AUV with a diesel/matic option.

Agree. We also changed the tires to slightly wider ones (215 versus the 205 stock width) and it gave the XTO a pretty good stance.

Yep, I drive an Advie diesel once a week or so (office vehicle which i use to the sites at times) and it is much faster than the Crosswind and Revo diesel. Mas malakas nga lang sa crudo but i don't mind. Wala rin usok if you run it hard regularly.

Our XUV is non-turbo, and the heavy wheels and tires make it slow. AT nearly 250,000 kms on the odometer, it won't get past 130 km/h anymore.

The new turbo manual ones are actually okay. Not fast, but I bet they'll do 100 km/h in under 20 seconds, rather than just under 30.

Must be nice to reach 100kph before the next toll gate and on the same day eh.

Sta fe. Imho oa ang price and after sales service sucks. Hehe
