Actually, getting the AD08s might be a tri[p down the rabbit hole. Problem with the Neova line-up of tires is there's a lot of grip, so the car starts feeling like it's moving around more in lateral transitions... it might inspire a suspension upgrade... which would cost even more.Also... Neovas cost an arm and a leg to replace, and don't last that long.
Something with slightly lower limits might work better with the chassis, especially for hooning outside the track.
Then again, if you're trying to set up a Mount Akina car to take on the big boys...![]()
Ang pagbalik ng comeback...
Car sales help move the economy, which is why they're so bullish on keeping interest rates low. And the banking system, after getting off scot-free with no legal ramifications despite sinking the world economy by gambling on derivatives, is still addicted to them... so they're pushing sub-prime loans as hard as possible. Can't lose naman daw... retirees have fixed income.
Yeah. As if. It's a house of cards waiting to fall down...

2013 Hyundai Santa Fe is overrated. People assume like it was the best CUV/SUV because of its "performance" for being a "fast" vehicle.
2013 Kia Sorento is just as good.
i'll order the noeva's at the states which will cost a lot cheaper since it's only around $140 there. plus i plan to buy 2 sets of rims and tires so the noeva's will only be used on the track.
i plan to buy both ad08r and re-11a and see which has the better grip. a lot of people are saying replacing the brz/86's tires to re-11 can easily shave off 3 seconds on the track.
i don't think it's overrated, the performance of the santa fe is really good for it's class. fast, on suv's like the santa fe being fast doesn't really matter as long as it has enough power for the body that's enough for me. for the price range though it is the best choice. not really a big fan of the sorento since the build quality isn't as solid as the santa fe.

For me overrated yung mga Euro cars dito. I'm looking at the car per peso that you get. Despite being very overpriced it lacks a lot of equipment. In the US you can get a 5 series or E-Class for the price of a Camry here. Tapos libre pa ang PMS for 2 or 3 years.

Might be. But the things is the TB is not Slow and even the MS as compared to the SF. But then people will say "nah, S/CUV's are not built for speed" Then what for? offroad? Then Again people will say "oh the SF is not built for offroad its more of a people carrier when in fact it has a cramped 3rd row seats". then Confusion began.
PS. Not a hater of the product, never been. just debating.
The Santa Fe hits 100 km/h in under 9 seconds. That's nearly two seconds faster than the Trailblazer or Montero Sport. And neither (in my experience) can match the highway economy. The Alterra can, but it only makes 144 hp.
It tracks with more stability at high speed than truck-based SUVs.
It's generally lighter and the ride is much more refined than the truck-based SUVs. And it rides better than the Sorento, too.
It has a small third row, but since it's unibody, there's actually decent legroom in there (though the new generation one sacrificed some headroom in the third row when they scooted it back for extra legroom).
The only pitfalls for the Santa Fe are its high price, which is sort of understandable given the extra refinement and nice interior versus the competition... and lack of off-roading credentials. The AWD system itself is competent enough, but it's too low to the ground for serious trail-work.
The Santa Fe is good. It's probably the best road-only seven-seat "SUV/Crossover/whatever" for the money. And with the long-wheelbase variant, it makes the Veracruz obsolete. Well... the Santa Fe can't match the Veracruz's elbow room, but other than that, I don't feel the Veracruz is worth spending over half-a-million more for over the top-spec Santa Fe.

^^^pricing lang naman talaga overrated ang LOCAL na sta fe. The local dealers just priced it way more than it is worth. Sa overseas di naman ganun pricing ng sta fe, and they have way better speced units than the ones sold in the ph.
Is the diesel Prado (new model) over rated?

I think nag-suffer ito sa pricing din because 3.0 liter ang engine eh, sa JPEPA kasi more han 3.0 liter engine na car gaya nang pajero 3.2 eh may malaking discount sa tax. So mahal siya compared sa Paj and thus, is overrated somehow pero hindi naman pasok dito gaya nang SF. Thread for me kasi is the most overrated.![]()
All SUVs that are neither sporty nor utilitarian are overrated. There I said it. Hehehe
The most overrated SUV by most, if not all, of the owners:
