Well, if I relate the utility of the car with it's sticker price, I'd say:

    i. Hyundai Tucson
    ii. Kia Sportage
    iii. Mazda3 (current gen)

No offense to the owners of these cars, of course.

yes it does, it's too bad that a lot of magazine racers are saying it's under powered. honestly saying i've driven a lot of fast cars and exotic cars and the brz/86 really shows that you don't need power to have fun in a car. this car's balance is just so perfect that i don't even plan to change anything except for the exhaust. with the brz/86 just put it a good tire like re-11a or ad08r and this car will handle like a dream. yes it wouldn't hurt if this car had 50hp more but we all know that in the real world nothing is perfect, so i'm very very satisfied with this car. for the price of the brz/86 i really don't see any thing that can compete with it's performance, balance and the fun factor it brings.

I wonder how a BRZ fitted with a turbo FA20 (2013 Forester XT or 2012 Legacy GT-DIT) will perform.

How about the pricing of the best selling sub-compacts? Most of the TOTL sub-compacts are about 900k already. Same goes for the TOTL compacts. Overrated in terms of pricing.
