sarap siguro magkaride na ganyan dito sa atin no walang magaangas sayo na mga common tuned civics and corollas and such (instant respect ), they will only hear the psshhh! sound of your car everytime you shift gear pero iba parin ang awd symmetrical at horizontally-opposed engine. just watch the clip... enjoy

used to be av Evo fan as well and i used to drive one here.medyo marupok at manipis kaha.
but when i drove a Forester and WRX,instant fan bigla ng Subbie. iba nga built-quality nila labas at loob, best driving position at gwapong-gwapo talaga tunog ng boxer engine.parang kahit low speed parang gusto ko above 3k rpm lagi.

maybe they lower some features/specs from the local STI para maging cheaper? from 320hp naging 280, but afaik, all jdm cars is limited at 280hp, a gentleman's agreement between car manufacturers perhaps or maybe it is the law in japan. so it makes the local sti, purely identical to its jdm sti counterparts. but still, sobrang mahal ng evo ix and if i remember right it doesnt come standard with bucket seats. bakit kaya? ang wierd talaga ng pricing dito sa pinas.

they are direct competitors. i made a quick google and they are priced 160 australian dollars only within each other.

yung Evo IX na nandito is the RS and the MR I think both are USDM models.. ung RS un ung bare minimum na evo ung walang bucket seats ito ung 2.4M mahal tlaga considering na ang lancer gt eh mas maganda pa ang pag ka spec niya.. but the RS is meant to be a no holds bared competition ready model.. this is what they use for the GRP N rallies.. thats why it has bare minimum amenities and comes with 5 spd gearbox so that the buyer can easily upgrade the car and put in new stuff that the might need in racing..
then the MR I think its priced at 2.8M this is the full spec model with bilstein shocks, 6 spd Gearbox, BBS forged aluminum wheels and with buckets na.. pero talagang mahal ang Evo pag binili mo sa Mitsubishi mismo...

Very similar cars, so it goes down to the details when it comes to picking one.

On the track I prefer the handling of the AYC-equipped Evos. Too bad the local 8s and 9s don't have AYC installed.

But.... the Evo has nothing on the STi engine note. Boxer sound is awesome. Compared to that the Evo is just a big hoover.

I prefer Evos, ang dami kasing naka WRX dito,kakasawa na, Evo konti lang and personally mas gusto ko itsura ng Evo kaysa Subaru.

Its the law in Japan limiting all production cars to 280hp. Pricing will always depend on the source.
My Japanese friend gave me Subie's brochures lahat ng STI, spec c etc 280hp lang.
