1.8 aantayin ko na lang yung local fj cruiser no to Korea made cars for me(not because their a bad car/SUV but due to its main dealer and franchises mga kupal at walang kwentang unlike Toyota or Mitsubishi but worst ang horror story ng mg k cars)
You do know that FJ Cruisers sucks on the road right? Unless you have off-road aspirations, hell.. magRav4 ka nalang. Less body roll, better availability of parts, and it actually sips on gas compared to the heavier and more engine displacement FJ. I know of it because my neighbor's neighbor have one.. yeah, the same guy who has a Sequoia.. a Porsche.. and a Lambo..

Between the TrailBlazer and the GTV, on paper.. the Trailblazer looks like the better of the two. But with that money, I won't be gambling on Chevrolet and would opt for the GTV. Maybe because we also have a GTV, but the vehicle's great as an all-around vehicle. It fords floods, I can literally zoom past humps without stopping, and.. well, it's a SUV.

Personally, I'll opt for a midsize sedan (hindi halata sa personal car choices). Not because I hate SUVs, but I find them aesthetically unpleasing unless you manage to go for the off-road look (lifter, different rims and tires, the occasional bull-bar). For the price, I'd probably go for a Kia Optima which strikes a balance between the boring (Camry) and the exciting (Mazda6). But if your hair isn't graying out and want something to run with but don't like the T86/BRZ, definitely a Legacy (post-discounts, it'll be around 1.7M) or a Mazda6

Ang ibig sabihin ko po madadagdag is yung mga mababago po sa Everest, or kung yung 2014 na Everest ay refresh lang at walang babaguhin.

See the 2014 everest thread, it's all new. Based on the new ranger platform, it is bigger and using the new ranger duratorque engine. Search mo na lang, "2014 Ford Everest (All New 4th Gen)".

    All new po.

Wala na nga yung spare tire sa likod. Mukhang next year pa yun lalabas, so kung medyo nagmamadali.. pwede naman yung current. At least subok na subok na.

you do know that the km/l of the fj cruiser is good 8km per litter better than the grand livina or toyota previa and better on an auto tranny worst on a manual, bad on the road???? body roll??? ever seen an fj cruiser that actually rolled over or is this the same crap they accussed the isuzu trooper when it first came out

parts is interchangeable with the land cruiser prado same engine same auto tranny

First, do you have a FJ Cruiser? You do know that 4.0L is a whole lot of displacement do you?

Second, cge.. try getting 8km/L in EDSA 7-8pm.. Go on. Try it.

Better than the Grand Livina or the Toyota Previa? Well, I'll exclude the Livina.. wala ako experience dyan. But the Previa? Are you kidding me? What's the basis of comparison? A fully-loaded Previa vs a non-loaded FJ? Previa's running at 3,000RPM while the FJ's at 2,000RPM? From experience?

The Toyota Sienna (Previa's NA counterpart) is rated 5 more MPG on highways versus the FJ Cruiser. And this is through a standardized EPA MPG testing. They sip fuel roughly the same on city roads with the Sienna/Previa STILL having a 1 MPG fuel sipping advantage.

    5MPG isn't just "better". That's roughly 2km/L or what a B6 Expedition's fuel economy is.

Body roll doesn't equate to actual rolling. Where the hell did you get that inference. What it means is that it's unstable at high speeds thanks to its heft and high ground clearance. There's a lot of air flowing through the underchassis of the car and this makes the ride, unstable at high speeds and through cornering. This is also the reason why people use coilovers to lower their car. Less ground clearance = less body roll. Never experienced it? Obviously somebody haven't tracked yet in their life nor maybe have a bit of fun around the city streets.

And a bulletproof Prado consumes around 2-3km/L

8 km/l is the official EPA rating. Not the actual fuel economy of the car.

Hell... yung 4.0 Landcruiser ng pinsan ko dati, mga 3km/l.

    Na walang traffic. :hysterical:

The FJ will be better, since it's EFI. But don't imagine it'll ever be as good as a Grand Livina or a Previa 2.4 (4-6 km/l in traffic). Probably won't even be as good as the Alphard 3.5, which, in my driving, only got 3-5 km/l in traffic... with the smaller 3.5, front wheel drive, lighter wheels and less weight.

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

Agree that getting the Montero might be more practical between the two what with the wide dealer network, better after sales service and wide availability of parts. That is, if you don't mind the cheap monoblock plastic interior (quite the norm in it's class though), heavy steering and lifeless performance below 2000rpm. Excellent midrange kick though, making highway overtaking very effortless. I don't know about the Trailblazer, but the Montero has great ride comfort. Some complain about poor A/C performance, but I have no qualms with it. If you're a city dweller who's idea of off roading is a gravel parking lot, it'll be more practical to get the GLS-V. You get better gas mileage too. My friend's Montero GLS-V gets him around 8-10km/L, while our Strada GLS Sport V gets 6-8km/L. Don't know if the Strada's FC will still improve though, since it is only at 4tkms.

The Sorento CRDi 4x4 is an excellent pick. Quality is much better than pickup based SUVs. Better ride comfort, handling, performance and FC too.

Sorento 14.5 km per liter at 120kph, subok na. 15.3 km per liter at 100kph, subok na din. 7-8 km per liter city, subok na din. DIESEL pa. You can't get that economy from a gasoline fj cruiser no matter what speed you go.

TS, if one of your need is 7 seater, try to seat at 3rd row of your choice then add the features of each SUV then decide. Total nasa range ang budget mo sa two SUV pero may pagkakaiba pa rin sila sa features and specs.
Yong 3rd row kasi medyo masikip at alanganin lalo na kung sa long drive at matangkad ang uupo doon pero kung bata lang or short adult pwede siguro tumagal na nakaupo sa long drive.
