But with the VCM tech, it is no longer a gas guzzler right? Unless the VCM is not working to address fuel consumption.

Is fuel consumption really a concern for such engine displacements? For big V6 or V8 engines with displacements bigger than 3.0L, don't expect it to have the same fuel consumption as a small 4-cylinder (below 2.0L) engine.

Besides, for cars like the Accord V6 or Explorer or CX9 with a price tag of more than 2M, I guess people who buy them have the means to spend for gas.
