Pag FC , sure winner ang diesel so Accent ang panalo.
For your other criteria, City ang panalo IMO.
But overall, I'd go for the City or like what XTO recommended, Vios para bagong bago

biased ako sa Honda City since I chose this over other sub-compact cars lately

For me it's accent. I am a CRDI fan especially hyundai and kia. They got all the jiuce you need. Plus the fuel savings that the TS is looking for. Whether fully loaded or driving it alone. Just the fun of driving that crdi engine is enough for me to choose this against any competitors. Di bale na wala masyadong toys sa loob as long as powerful and economical naman ito. Sa mga toys you could always install aftermarket toys.

I suggest you test drive the 2 cars and for sure if you are hungry for power and speed hindi ka na magiisip pa. Accent ka na.

boss sorry to disagree, dami ako nakikita kia picanto, hyundai eon, and other small engine cars na umaakyat ng baguio. i have a vios 1.3 lang sya pero di naman ako binitin sa tagaytay, i think tamang driving habit at ika nga nila "know your car well".
honda city and accent are both good cars, IMHO.

Yes I have the manual version....Hindi sya matagtag and hindi sya maingay....
My 2nd car is a 2007 Lancer 1.6.. and ayaw ko ng i drive to..Si misis na lang nag dadrive nito... Iba talaga ang Accent.. Power and Fuel efficiency...
Test drive both.. Maganda din ang City, actually yan ang gustong ipalit ni Misis sa Lancer...Pero ako.. Accent all the way.. he he he

vios naman pala sa iyo e hindi honda. iba po ang makina ng toyota sa honda. honda engines are high revving, develops peak torque at very high rpm. toyota engines have peak torque at low to medium rpms, thereby delivering better climbing ability and better city traffic experience.
sabi mo nga know your car well. but you don't know the honda city do you? i have driven 2 hondas (test drove the city and civic) and in both cases i found the engines anemic and torque-less. mas malakas pa hatak ng old 1.3 liter mazda 323 ko nuon kesa sa 1.8 liter honda civic e.
here's the latest comparo between vios and city from topgear >>>

Honda City 1.3 user ako sir, so far wala naman problema ung auto. FC ko naglalaro sa 12-13KM per liter (City driving) 16-17KM per liter (Highway drving). Ung cabin space at trunk space talagang malaki if icocompare niyo to other subcompact sa market. Dinala namin sa Baguio 5 pax then puno ung trunk(as in puno) hindi naman bitin ung hatak sa Kennon Rd. as long na may bwelo.
Between Honda City/Hyundai Accent, kung plano niyo i keep ung auto for 8-10 years, Honda City nalang, mas mura maintenance and parts ng gasoline engine if icocompare niyo sa diesel engine, un nga lang mas mura naman ang diesel ng 10 pesos per liter. If plan niyo naman i keep ung auto for about 5 years Hyundai Accent na sir

Thinking reliability and durability you will never go wrong with honda. Had some durability issues with new hyundai ownership. They are getting there yesbit not quite at par with the japs.

June 12th, 2013 12:57 AM #30Thank you mga Sir sa lahat ng sinabi nyo.
Although lalo ako naguluhan kung ano tlga ang pipiliin ko, at least may idea nko kung ano pro's n con's ng bawat auto. By the way I'm a new driver lang din kase. Do you think I start with low torque cars e.g Honda City 1.3S para iwas sa temptation ng pagiging speed devil?
