Try the regular IS350 instead of the F Sport variant. It might have a more comfortable ride than the F Sport. You might also want to consider the Lexus ES350 since the price is almost the same as the Mercedes Benz C200.

A comparison was done by Car and Driver back in 2013 pitting the Lexus IS350F Sport against the BMW 335i M-Sport and Cadillac ATS 3.6. The Lexus IS350F Sport trumps both other cars.

Actually if I was the one buying, I'd choose the ES350 over anything in the choices mentioned.

The CATs SA also offered me the CLA-class, cheaper than the C200. It is the same size as the previous C-class. Looks good also though I have not yet researched on it.

For the ES350, is it also fun to drive? I am under the impression that it is a car best suited for people who prefer to stay in the backseat.

Haha, di naman vinj, pang-cefiro pa rin. Kidding aside, I asked my wife which among the three she prefers as she might also be using it. She said she is not fond of the MB since it's too "sosyal" daw, maybe once I'm 50 yrs old baka pwede na. But she said whatever I decide she will support. Tagal ko din inaawitan si wifey, ngayon lang siya pumayag for this, hehe.

I love BMW's they are fun to drive but between the 3 choices, I'd probably go with MB C200, but if the ES350 will be part of the choice, the ES350 it is, may dating kasi ang MB na parang pang "matanda" pero para sakin iba pa rin kasi pag benz hahahah

True bro, more confused, haha. The fun part? Get to test drive more vehicles. The drawback? More SAs will bug you and convince you to get their vehicles😄

*bjreyesmd - have you considered any of Audi's smaller cars (A4 or A3)? If the S3 is priced just about the same as your choices, that's one mean car with a powerful 2.0L turbo engine in a frame just about the same as Japanese compacts.

Teka... ano gender ng mga SAs? Baka biglang ma-outside da hacienda ka niyan pag nakita ni Wifey ang mga kasama mo sa test drive.

Para sa age group mo, the Lexus seems apt. ; ) It's also not as "look at me" as a BMW and MB. But i do agree on the Audi gambit; the A4 is always nice and clean; not as flashy as a BMW and Benz. I don't know lang if there's a model change coming up soon.

mukhang hindi mahirap ang problema mo, bro, since budget is not much of an issue. . .
ano ba hanap mo sa sasakyan? list them down and get the one that has the most of what you're looking for. . .
    good luck, bro

Thats the thing bro, made a table and listed the 3 cars' qualities and features and the end result, equal yung lexus and benz sa gusto ko with the BMW only a point behind.

Will look into the Audi also as suggested.

Picture this guys, you are a 40 year old looking for a new 4-door daily driver as a reward for yourself using your hard-earned money. After test driving your shortlist of cars, you got confused on which to pick since each car has its own strengths on what you are looking for. 😄

Hmmm...I'd get something to energize my nerves and get other people surprised to see a salt&pepper-haired gentleman buzzing thru traffic with a Golf GTi or WRX or S3 Quattro or IS350 F-Sport or an S6 Quattro (if budget permits).

To be on the modest side, for a 3M budget, I'd get a Mazda6 or Accord V6 or Legacy GT wagon (not available anymore) for my office daily driver and a Fiesta Ecoboost (plus a piggyback chip to raise its output to 150+hp) as my optional daily go-kart.

if it's so close that you cannot decide, any of the three will do. . .
if i were you in that exactly the same situation, i'd get the lexus and use the extra money to buy the wife a nice watch (omega, cartier, or even a rolex). . .
switch to a benz after 8 years. . .the watch will still be with her

now, me being myself, among the three choices, i'd get the bmw

    good luck!

At this time, I am leaning more on the Lexus ONLY because the Benz exudes so much class that it is not me, hehe. Yup, maybe after 6-8 years and it's time to switch cars, then the Benz would be on top of my list.

I realised this when the CATS SA called me up yesterday and offered me their last remaining 3 units of the outgoing model E-Class now priced at 3.6M which is just a shade over the current price of the new C-Class. Of course went to look at the unit and.....it hit me. The car with the 3 pointed star looked so classy that it doesn't fit my personality... at this time of course. I liked the driving feel, comfort and all but it felt like I always have to be in a suit or something or I always have to be in a meeting with top executives, etc. Mind you, the current C-Class also exudes that sense too, hehe.

Anyway, also went to Audi as suggested and looked at the A3. They don't have any more A4s since they are waiting for the all-new A4 to be launched later this year or early next year. The S3 will be arriving next month and they don't have a price for it yet. Honestly, the A3 is a very nice car, the interior is very simple yet elegant... already booked a test drive to see if it will be included in my shortlist, hehe.

Benz gets my vote. To add further to your confusion, how about the new ford mustang. Mukhang pang daily driver yung ecoboost. At around 2.5m pasok sa budget mo may sukli pa. 3m naman yung v8, pasok din sa budget.
