Among these SUVs, which one will be most fuel efficient at 100% city driving na laging may traffic?
I only know Montero based on my experience, 7km per liter pag bumper to bumper city traffic.
How about the other cars here?
Thanks!![]()
MU-X 4x2 LS-M is actually pretty good, though I haven't tried the 4x2 LS-A yet. The 4x4 is just okay.
Ang pagbalik ng comeback...
I bet the upcoming Everest will be thrifty.
Lowest I've ever got with my Ranger is 8 km/L and that's on pure EDSA rush hour driving. My overall average over 20,000 km is 10 km/L. This is with a 2.2 MT that's always driven hard.
tbz lt at. 4x2 2.8 2014 owner here... HA? based on my experience from day one we bought the vehicle using full tank method my km per liter is 10km per liter- traversing intramuros-taft-lasalle-pasay-(heavy traffic) then slex to alabang(driven hard but not above the speed limit even when over taking)- back and forth, sometimes it even reached 11km per liter(using seaoil) - sa computer nga 12 eh km per liter.
also own 2014 2.8 at ltz 4x4 - ito ang 7 km per liter minsan pa nga 6 eh pero no suprise it's heavier and ala pang one month unike sa 4x2 na 5 months na- traversing the same route.
I get 7.5 to 8.3 km per liter in heavy traffic city driving with my TB LTZ.
What levels of discount are offered now especially for those ageing models (Fortuner, Montero, outgoing Everest, etc)?
here is my opinion:
1. If you are looking for fuel efficiency with good price, go for the MU X. But definitely, the trade off is design.
2. If you are looking for power, go for the Trailblazer. It does not have the ammenities for the low price SUV segment.
3. If you are looking for good resale value, go for the Fortuner. It has neither a low price nor a fuel efficient SUV.
4. If you are looking for both low price and next fuel efficient, go for the Montero. It is next to Fortuner on resale value and next to MU X for Fuel Efficiency.
5. If you are looking for the luxury, go for the Sta Fe. It is quite expensive for this SUV.
6. Everest? Well, let's wait next year.....
I disagree with the power. I'll give it to sta fe.
according to the studies made by doe(department of energy yes doe) the most gas-diesel guzzling vehicle is the montero gls 4x2(vgt consumes more) followed by the suzuki apv.(top of the list is apv- petrol feed, montero-diesel feed)
the most fuel efficient vehicle is the suzuki celerio(forgot the diesel)
real world test, philippine conditions. plying the edsa and metro manila route done in december- forgot the year
fortunner(non vnt), everest and alterra where at the middle.
so where did you get your statistical data to arrive in such a conclusion???
we own a montero and an apv hence we can compare it with other vehicles- suprisingly enough the studied made by the doe is accurate
5-7 km/l ang montero(inclung heavy traffic) doe- report is 5-6
