Car pooling in the Philippines will either fall to ningas cogon or you'll find women with kids offering to ride with you for a fee based on distance. Or drivers can arrange to pick-up strangers who want free ride along the car pool lane and there are apps for that.

The proposal isn't new. It was tried during the time of Cory Aquino and was the brainchild of then Executive Secretary Oscar Orbos...and carried over during the early years of FVR. Was in college then.

There was a reason why government eventually dropped it. It became too difficult to enforce.

IMHO, for security reason, this is way too risky.

Isuzu PH sold 8000+ Mu-x this year.

Impressive pricing and Isuzu reputation certainly played into this impressive sales.

    13L/100 = 7.7km/l

13L/100 is the rated FC (city) from Chevrolet itself.

I got a friend who has a fortuner. Look later, he changed his fortune to the trailblazer. And he is very happy with its riding comfort and performance. I also have a 2012 fortuner. I can say... If only I know how bad it rides n the city, I would never buy one.

Oddly, it's only in Australia that it's down-rated. Elsewhere, it's 800mm. Not just the Philippines.

Wading depth is a complicated thing. It takes into account not just snorkel height, but also the transmission and differential breathers and waterproofing, and electrical and electronic items like alternators and computer boxes.

The new "PRO" series Colorado may have an air snorkel two meters off the ground, but the "official" wading depth is only 880mm, to take into account the extra suspension height only.

Still looking up what differences the Holden might have to account for that lower rating, or if Australia has different criteria for declaring wading depth. I know in the US they have a set speed (4mph) for the rating, I can't find the speed Australia uses.

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

I mean, the literature for other Asian countries claims 800mm.

I do not know what specific method is used for rating wading depth on the Australian market. These things are not equivalent from one place to the other. (note that towing rating for otherwise identical models differ between Australia and the US). I'm still trying to find out what the difference is.

Either way... the Colorado can do 800mm. It's been demonstrated a number of times. But again, since wading depth takes into account stuff beyond air intake height, there may be some specific vulnerability that means water can get into something else beside the air intake.

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...
