February 2nd, 2016 10:49 PM #279Ok, so I just saw Niky's Top Gear PH video of the new Fortuner. So my question to you niky is this: which of the new PPVs is the best for you? Everest, Montero, or Fortuner? Which has the best value for money, the best interior, the best riding comfort and the best acceleration among the 3 new PPVs? We're talking about the TOTL variants of the 3 PPVs

Sadly, I am one of the few motoring writers who has not even set foot inside the Montero Sport.
Between the Fort and the Everest... the Fort seems to have the better performance (remember all, despite the 200 hp 3.2, the Everest is a big, HEAVY car) and possibly slightly better handling. The Everest has a better ride and more cabin space. In terms of interior materials, it's hard to judge without putting them side by side. I might give it to the Everest, though... and the Titanium package with the extra goodies is incredibly hard to beat.
If the new Monty improves upon the trucklike ride of the old one (yes, the old Monty was soft, but it was somewhat jiggly) as much as the others are saying it does, I'd say it has a decent chance against the Fort. Was not all that impressed with the interior or drive of the new Strada, but both the new Fort and Monty seem to be a step above their pick-up twins... and the new Strada is still using the old 2.5... so I have to with-hold judgment until I get a proper go in the Montero.
Ang pagbalik ng comeback...
someones are (at last!) loudly asking, "why did they turn off the countdown timers?"
