Why have you not tried the new montero sir? Among the 3 new suv, the montero/mmcp seems to be the most active in promoting its suv with test drives scheduled almost every week in malls. :P

I hope topgear ph would release an in depth comparo of the 3 new suv soon. With 30+ min video sana since I've really enjoyed watching the review videos from car advice AU.

Between the Fort and the Everest... the Fort seems to have the better performance (remember all, despite the 200 hp 3.2, the Everest is a big, HEAVY car) and possibly slightly better handling. The Everest has a better ride and more cabin space. In terms of interior materials, it's hard to judge without putting them side by side. I might give it to the Everest, though... and the Titanium package with the extra goodies is incredibly hard to beat.

If the new Monty improves upon the trucklike ride of the old one (yes, the old Monty was soft, but it was somewhat jiggly) as much as the others are saying it does, I'd say it has a decent chance against the Fort. Was not all that impressed with the interior or drive of the new Strada, but both the new Fort and Monty seem to be a step above their pick-up twins... and the new Strada is still using the old 2.5... so I have to with-hold judgment until I get a proper go in the Montero.
Have you also driven the Santa Fe? How would you compare it to the Everest & Fortuner?

Its not a ppv but its still capable of 99% of the tasks as the other two.

I think Niky had a review a few years back in Top Gear of driving the hell out of the Santa Fe in the sand dunes of Ilocos. 5 stars.

Everest vs Montero Sport vs Fortuner mid-variants - Motioncars | Motioncars parang hindi fair comparison.... Shouldn't the Fort G and Monty GLS be up against the Eve Ambiente? And MU-X gets the chopped liver treatment

Yes, I think they were using the price as their benchmark. The Trend is the mid variant for the Eve but the Monty GLS is I believe their lowest variant. They should have compared it to the Monty GLS Premium instead since they are comparing mid-variants.

To me it's the right comparo.....GLS Premium equates to 4x2 Titanium both are TOTL. Trend and GLS and Fort G belongs to same segment though obvious kung cno ang angat🤓

I've had the old gen 2 santa fe. Iba naman ang ride quality ng crossover sa ppv. I can say better pa than a sedan yung gen 2 santa fe. Even the "sport-tuned" suspension of the 2012 sorento is better than my new everest. Mas maganda pa siguro latest gen santa fe so fearless guess is a no contest in the ride quality department the crossovers will win hands down.

Santa Fe ko sobrang sarap i-drive, at par with my CRV.

minsan na ako nag-drive ng Montero Sport to 3 day vacation Batangas when my wife's girl friend asked me na ako na daw mag-drive ng Montero nya
