Kala ko magaan un eve titanium. Kasi nga titanium magaan. Hahaha! Alin ba mas matibay iron steel o titanium? Hindi palaging mas mabigat mas matibay.

    name lang po.
    titanium is so expensive.
it is used in those items where weight and strength are paramount, and expense is of little thought. planes, spacecraft, specialty parts...
    but don't we wish...

mabigat ang eve kasi it has 5 cylinders compared to the others that have only 4 cylinders, so longer engine block. also the 4WD transmission is designed for the F150 mas malaki. it has also a beefier chassis to carry that engine and tranny and to counter the torque.

even the 2.2L Eve is the heaviest among its peers, considering it has only 4 cylinders and the smallest displacement of all. the chassis might be the biggest contributor on the weight discrepancy plus the fact that the Eve has the biggest body dimension among them all.

Possilbe, I have watch a youtube clip of one of the Australian review where they put the Everest in a very uneven surface where there is a big chance na magtwist ang body. They did the test by opening the Rear door and it opens flawlessly. Apparently some cars/SUV if you put in that position/angle , they are being subjected to twisting forces which the effect is you cannot open the doors during that moment.

Also in some of the clips again they test the rigidity of some of the Pick up truck where they put a masking tape mark up to see how much twisting the pick up bed is experiencing at that angle. Cannot recall the exact pick up model ng mga sobra ang twisting.

+1 po.. Napanood ko din po yan.. Kaya nga sabi ko literally mabigat ang Eve pero matibay naman. Sa Australlia they compare with Toyota Prado which mas mahal ng di hamak dito sa atin and the verdict mas nakakalamang ang Eve. Dehado lang sa Fuel tank capacity.

Oo nga, sobra S yung Montero sport ko, my mistake. Anyway, the real winners here are the car buyers, more choice compared several years ago when the fortuner is the only ladder frame based SUV(if I am not mistaken). I hope Nissan will join the bandwagon soon.

IMO we are all fanboys of a brand or two, and there will always be some degree of bias towards or against each brand. But if you really like your preferred brand, you should accept and highlight the negatives so they can improve on it in the next model. Personally I find it easy to complain about any brand. I think my handle should be "Ang reklamador".

Wala ka naman reklamo sa nissan eh. hehehe True that we have our own biases. Normal human nature, nothing wrong with it and tama na as consumers we should air our opinions para they will improve pa their products nga naman.

Hindi ah. Peaky engine on my D40, rattles on the sidings of the X-trail, FC, dami rin. I was going to trade the D40 for an NP300 when I noticed the 2nd row was cramped compared to the old one. I also don't like the looks of the Almera and Juke. Pero biased nga ako sa Nissan. Mostly because pawisin ako and gusto ko malakas aircon, and I prefer to have a car that is not so mainstream. Helps din na konti lang pila sa casa. But we also have a Hyundai, a Honda, and used to have a Toyota.

True, pero at least sa next purchase mo mas marami ka nang pagpipilian kasi gumanda na yung next gen. Kesa naman di gumanda at all. Sa 3 SUVs na ito people should highlight the Montero and Fortuner not having EPS for example. Para maging standard na sya sa segment. Ang laking bagay ng magaan na steering in a car this size lalo na kung daily driver.

You also save yourself from accidentally dropping the key in the dark (or into a muddy canal) and damage the fob in the process.

Keyless is yet not safe at all. We all know this design is to thwart car theft and if for some reason your remote loss/malfunction, your casa or authrorized technician can bypass or disable the system. If they could easily do that for sure car theives would do also.

I've been reading this thread for days now. I was supposed to get the Montero last Feb pero I decided to wait for the Fortuner, baka magsisi ako pag mas maganda yun. Nung nakita ko fortuner napangitan ako. Sobrang tinipid *P2.126M, wala man lang back up sensor at rearview cam. Now, I'm leaning towards the Montero GT again. Btw, my current daily car is an MUX LS-A 4x4. It does its job pero lagi ako sinisibak ng mga UV express sa Commonwealth. [emoji23]
