remove picanto and getz to your choices..consider only the norkis legacy and the suzuki alto..

the picanto and getz are overpriced and overrated cars..you are better off buying a vios instead of picanto or getz
The page you linked to contains a pretty damning firsthand testimonial from a Legacy owner, and you say "consider only the norkis legacy and the suzuki alto"?

The "over-rated and over-priced" Picanto was once the cheapest all-new car you could buy here (and it probably still is, considering the Alto is somewhat old-tech). In addition, it has been rated in Germany as "The cheapest car to buy and run", taking into account both maintenance and depreciation.

You've already been warned once. Having an opinion isn't an offense, but spamming and trolling are. And what you're doing is borderline "trolling". Look it up.

The Alto, though, is a decent recommendation... though for the money, it's as bare as bare can get.

alto is the best choice na over sa norkis legacy--> sa warranty nalang po tignan yan(6months ang refurbished(not bago!) na norkis, 3 years/100Thou kms ang alto) at sa panahon ngayon, di na nagkaaklayo presyo ng legacy/privacy sa alto...plus ang alto, bago talaga, from india...

kung cash is of importance, alto talaga, sulit na din yan to go from point A - B...parang noong kia-pride lang yan..

lahat naman tayo entitled to our own opinion..

I think the term 'overrated' shouldn't have been used,
but anyway going on topic, for business purpose, if the Alto can handle it, then by all means go for it...

Mahirap maghanap ng 13" na mags brand new ngayon. I'd say maybe 15-17k if you can find new ones. Pero meron yatang ROTA RB (banana type) na 13".

personally I fail to see the merit of "dressing up" an Alto. I mean, it is an Alto, nobody is going to mistake it for anything else, so why bother putting mags on it? steel wheels too downscale?

Steel wheels are lighter so in addition to not spending more money, mas matipid siya sa gas. With that little three-banger in there, I suspect the weight difference would actually alter the fuel efficiency of the thing.

Awww... come on... Minilites or Banana mags would actually be pretty cool on that little car... ...plus, it needs the extra stability... the stock tires are way too thin.

To be honest I only looked at the Alto through the dealer window. Curiosity, is all. By "thin tires" you mean they are very narrow? if stability is all one's after then there are a lot of reconditioned or used 13" to 14" wheels to be had out there..

Yup. I think they were 145mm or so (pathetic, even compared to the Picanto's 165mm tires).

Okay for typical urban use, but not for highway use or emergencies. Of course, the stock steelies don't seem wide enough to run wider rubber, so a change of mags might be prudent if you're going to use it on the highway.

sir 488k po ung getz 1.1 with a standard discount of 20k

alto is a good buy for the price of 359k.. suzuki japan is the number 1 maker of kei cars in japan, while maruti india is the number 1 car seller in india (beating tata motors), you can compare maruti to toyota philippines.. so the alto is like india's equivalent of a toyota corolla in the philippines..

359k bestseller car from two top companies in their field, suzuki and maruti, with 3 year warranty.. not bad..

i'm just waiting for more alto's to appear on our street and i will jump in the bandwagon too..

I visited 2 dealers today. Wala silang stock noong standard model. Pero marami silang stock noong deluxe. They have been trying to upsell me into getting the deluxe model pero ayaw ko. Sayang pa kasi iyong 40k. Bibilhin ko nalang ng mags iyon. I also compared it side by side with a Getz and my impression is the build quality of the Getz is better. Mapapansin mo talaga sa transmission. Parang short throw at saka swabe ang getz. Aside from the fact that it is bigger. But I resisted the temptation. Wala pang discount ang alto and aside from the matting, there are no freebies. but it is still 100K cheaper than the Getz. It seems that most people who buy the Alto are really very price sensitive. Ayaw magbigay ng 40K more for the deluxe.

If you can't find the standard, no biggie. Kung girl ang gagamit, the non-power-steering rack of the standard will be a pain in her butt during parking maneuvers (I know I've said it was okay once the car was moving a bit, but it's tiring to park if you don't have manly arms... ).

I think the addition of power steering and windows is worth the extra 40k... but if you can get that discounted...
