I'd say maybe 15-17k if you can find new ones.

personally I fail to see the merit of "dressing up" an Alto. I mean, it is an Alto, nobody is going to mistake it for anything else, so why bother putting mags on it? steel wheels too downscale?

Steel wheels are lighter so in addition to not spending more money, mas matipid siya sa gas. With that little three-banger in there, I suspect the weight difference would actually alter the fuel efficiency of the thing.

Awww... come on... Minilites or Banana mags would actually be pretty cool on that little car... ...plus, it needs the extra stability... the stock tires are way too thin.

To be honest I only looked at the Alto through the dealer window. Curiosity, is all. By "thin tires" you mean they are very narrow? if stability is all one's after then there are a lot of reconditioned or used 13" to 14" wheels to be had out there..

Yup. I think they were 145mm or so (pathetic, even compared to the Picanto's 165mm tires).

Okay for typical urban use, but not for highway use or emergencies. Of course, the stock steelies don't seem wide enough to run wider rubber, so a change of mags might be prudent if you're going to use it on the highway.

i'll just get the Getz 1.1l. i feel that the alto is too damn small and the picanto too darn cute.

hmm.. 500+ yung entry level getz right? that's quite a distance from the Alto.
