The 4AT gets the Camry to 120 kph in 4th gear at 3,000 rpm. Would've been more economical I suppose if there were a 5th gear, but in terms of passing power, it's probably geared about right.

Anyhow, going back to the TS, it's a matter of preference -- SUV or sedan -- to replace the MB. Both are good rides, and the price and condition will dictate whether they're good buys. Good luck.
Kung Mirage na hotcake wala sila on the spot na pyesa, what more tong casa sleeping beauty na Galant? Mazda 6 2.3 (facelifted) should be good too.

Haven't driven a 2.4L so I can't compare. But the 2.0L is no slouch indeed, even on 18s. Medyo na-feel ko na yung bigat nung 20s ang nakakabit. Hehehe! Anyhow, upak na!

Ive had a 323 then 6th gen accord then a32 cefiro plus 260e respectively so i guess since same weight category yung past 3 rides ko, nanjan yung xtrail to balance things out plus i've always been a fan of both cars but ngayon lang may chance to acquire either of the two.

Halos doble daw kung nataon na 2000 model. Sa mga may midsize cars year 2000 and older, share nyo naman yung MVUC nakasulat sa OR nyo.

So, technically cheaper ang newer Cefiro? Is that what it means? Or does the cylinder number count for something?

No basis na yung engine displacement or number of cylinders, size and weight na yung basis ng LTO. Mas mura na rehistro ng mga midsizers na 2001-onwards. Not sure though kung yung 8th gen Accord (2008-2012) and newer Camry's are still classified as a Medium Car, pero di naman sosobra sa 2300kg ang mga yan.

What's wrong with your 260E? Kung ako lang, di ko pagpapalit yon to either the Camry or Xtrail. We have a 92 260E which we have owned since it got here in '92, sure it had its fair share of issues but when everything has been sorted nothing beats the old Benz, my dad used to own it until he stopped driving then handed it down to me. My bro has an '06 Camry 3.0 which will be up for sale soon. Having driven both cars, the Camry may be quicker, no contest about that. But the Benz is still immensly more satisfying to drive especially on long journeys.

Boss, parang familiar ang handle mo, MBCP member ka ba?

If you are selling the W124, can you send me pictures and details of the car via PM function here? Please indicate the VIN number and your price also.

    Thanks.

Having overhauled recently a Camry 2.4L (overheated and neglected by one of the drivers), and having done suspension repairs to it (its now 110,000kms and 7 years old), I can say its quite straightforward to repair and parts are available. Its running good and reliably now. When looking at a second hand unit, check the engine for any signs of overheating and do a compression test; aux fan failure seems to be a culprit as the same ish hit the Rav4 of a friend with the same engine.

I'd still seriously consider an Xtrail though; a 250X (with a Skyline system based 4-wheel drive AFAIR) and beefy 18 rims/tyres.

Kay Speedyfix since i did not have the commodity of time to have it done at a smaller talyer and be hands-ons. Not exactly the cheapest but the job was done well and we're very satisfied with the work. Migs kept me up to date on the progress (and expenses), and it still cost much less than the Php300,000 Toyota was charging us. I sourced all the parts from Toyorama and could have probably (just probably) brought the cost even more if i had a suking machine shop to redo the cylinder head and re-threading.

Salamat sir! Galing ng inputs nyo. Regarding the xtrail, 04-05 only has 200x and 250x as its variants, right? Yes, im seriously considering it sir. Tipong 55% camry 45% xtrail

Baka mas makamura ka sa xtrail? Since lower resale value ng nissans.
