Its really simple to decide. You have a 1.1M Toyota SuV than can be worth 700k in 5 years time, and after posting on the internet classfieds, guarsnteed may call ka kagad in a day

All the others, HRV, BRV, Vitara, Juke, Ecosport, Xpander, Mobilio, Kona, Maybe just above 500k selling, and i doubt if your phone will have many inquires in a week, maybe 1-2 a week

The jimny maybe 800k that is only if it doesnt create a cult following here in the next 5 years. Pag nagkarun ng following yan sub 1M pa din worth nyan in 5 years

Wag mo na isipin yun mga feedback dito, the Toyota brand speaks for itself.

Kung puro lubak daanan niyo, Rush is a good suggestion. Pwede isulong sa gutter-deep flood, rugged suspension, easy spares. May added peace of mind with safety, 6 airbags and stability control come standard. If pwede ng manual, good value yung 1.5E, at least hindi sakal yung engine.

If I were the father, I won't compromise on safety for my child.

Haha...Ignore this thread...Follow your gut feel & guide her. You won't wanna make frequent unnecessary trips back the dealership.[emoji4]
    Just grab another Jimny. Haha.[emoji16]

Or you could ask subtly like, "anak kung may budget ka, say, 1.1M ngayon, anong sasakyan ang trip mong bilhin?".

    Honda BR-V 1.5 S CVT - ₱ 1,035,000
    Hyundai Kona 2.0 GLS AT - ₱ 1,188,000
    Nissan Juke 1.6 CVT N-Sport - ₱ 1,131,000
    Suzuki Vitara GLX AT - ₱ 1,148,000

We also looked at the Mitsubishi Xpander and Toyota Rush but the 1.5L engine of both cars mated with a 4-speed AT along with other reviews as well as getting inside the said vehicles myself, made me decide to cross them out my list. (power-to-weight ratio issue for me)

I like that the ride is not like a typical pickup because it doesn't use leaf springs at the back.

    1. Navara
    2. Vitara
    3. Juke
    4. BR-V
    5. Kona

Ask her the top-3 cars she wants... then we discuss the pros and cons here.

My dad asked me which car I wanted... Chose the Lancer Box-Type over the Corolla E90 and hanggang ngayon, natatawa ako sa ginawa ko.

Used that car for my first 2 years of college, before napalitan

actually that entire car gasoline segment, hinde na ako tumatangkilik so syempre wala naman ako daughter pero I like to put myself in someoneĀ’s shoes na bibilan daughter nya ng safe car

BRV, Mobilio, Xpander - may fuel pump problems on heir respective threads
Juke - the infamous Nissan CVT problem, malay nyo lumabas din ss Juke
    Vitara - made in India
Kona - ambaba na nga, pinakamahal pa, and that wrap around plasticky thing, mamumuti lang yun
Coolray - nagpipilit maging Volvo pero still made in China
Seltos - kamuka ni Vitara na made in Korea naman
HRV, ASX, CX3, XV - mahal, sosy, could be better pero after 5 year same resale value as all of the above . So you buy it for 1.4M as compared to this segment 1.1M, after 5 years 550k vs 500k. 50k lang lamang! Eh they all use or max out only 1.5 L engine except for the XV.

So what do you do when you have that information clutter in your head?

Toyota na lang para matapos na, safe for my daughter and if in case ayaw na ng daughter ko, dali dispatsa. toyota eh

Btw, dont buy your daughters a pickup. Or the entire women race for that matter.

It may be safe for them but it may not be safe for others, pedestrians, other motorists, mall parking structures, and maybe even your house gate.

Pickups are a pain in the ass to drive unless naka Ranger kayo with all the sensors and lightest suspension by Ford. And also the The Ford diesel is the only diesel engine that requires fully synthetic oil therefore a very smooth crossover like diesel engine,

All other diesel engines na pickup, ang idol nila iSuzu Elf.
