I generally think the coolray is a good car. Design is above par and price for what you get is hard to beat.
From what is known, parts used for transmission and engine don't seem to be unknown or new brands/designs so at least that has something going for it.
I wouldn't also see it as placing it at 'par' in terms of reliability with the japs, but maybe above other chinese brands.
What i am curious about is how much maintenance is for the vehicle? Are we looking at 'premium pricing' for casa maintenance given that parts seem to be used with other volvo models? So they 'could' be obtainable outside casa but also with a premium pricing?
I am honesly considering it as a replacement if my cvt gives me any headaches in the near future.
I am hopeful for geely though as a brand here and hope it doesnt go the way of ssyangyong and chery as it seems to really have potential.
This coolray and the future atlas model are something to look forward to, heck maybe even the phev.
