Why should i consider Ford Escape (2nd hand) Please help to decide.

i will, sir. actually earlier meron kami ni misis pinuntahan na escape. biglaan lang kami napapunta kasi yung kaibigan ko ang may kakilala sa seller. the vehicle is a 2L 4x2 Escape. Makinis and orignal pa yung paint. he interior naman is medyo amoy luma as the car daw was not that maintained by the owner since nasa abroad. Pero kung titignan mukhang ok pa talaga. all the functions are working well. This time ako nag drive, naramdaman ko yung bagal, kaso my comparison naman is the vios i am using at the moment. medyo parang mabigat...and parang under power nga. May vibration din na parang nung sa Tribute. Medyo gusto ko na namin ng misis ko kunin since the price is only 300K.

Tomorrow meron pa'ko titignan din na escape. I-try ko din na i-drive then i will let my instinct make the decision. Pero syempre kung magugustuhan din ni misis..hehe! :D

Sir basta don't rush into buying until you have compared it with at least 2 other cars. This will give you an idea kung ok or hindi ang unit. Engine, transmission and underchassis are important areas that needs checking. Lalo na yung CV Joint kapag 4X2 ang tinitingnan mo. Yung mga scratches sa body gamitin mo lang yun na pang bargain para makakuha ng discount. Assume mo nasa 2500 pesos ang pagawa per panel.

I assume 3 persons inside the car? (You, wifey and the seller). Medyo mabagal po talaga sa una lalo na matic pa yan at 2.0L. Medyo may lag talaga pero ang importante maganda tumakbo.

yes, sir, 3 persons po inside. Ok naman po manakbo. Just today, meron kami chineck ni misis na 2.3L. Ang masasabi ko, mas gusto ko andar ng 2.3L...hehehe! mas mahal nga lang ng 50k.

And meron din po kami pinuntahan na din na ecape, 2.3L din (bale 2 units chineck namin ni misis today) above all that we'd checked pinaka ok itong huling chineck namin. Smooth talaga ang takbo. The engine reacts nicely every step sa gas pedal. It has no vibration at all compare sa ibang na-check ko. Though may konting vibration pag nagcha-charge yung aircon pero very minimal talaga. Plus...type ni misis. Ngayon lang sya nag react and nagsabi na ito ang gusto nya. Kaso konti lang binibigay na discount. Pinakiusapan namin na ibaba pa. Hopefully i-consider yung tawad namin

Pupuntahan na po namin today yung huling escape na nakita namin kahapon for the payment. Medyo lumampas yung budget namin pero i think worth naman kasi gustong gusto ni misis. We're praying na sana maayos and maging smooth ang transaction namin.

Hi Sirs, hindi pa po natuloy yung deal namin nung seller ng pinost ko na pic for some questions about the papers. Gusto ko din po sana i-consult sa inyo.

Yung 1st owner po kasi is company and doon nagwo-work yung tao (nanay = 1) for whatever reason (binili siguro) trinansfer po yung ownership from nanay to her son (Son = 2) last year of May. Now the son sold the car to his friend and he executed a deed of sale to his friend (Friend = 3). Now, after a year or so, binebenta nya na yung sasakyan which ako po yung prospect (prospect = 4).

May nakausap ako na dapat daw mag execute yung son (2) ng deed of sale for 4, para mapalitan or mairegister nya under his name yung orcr. Kasi kung si 3 ang mage-execute ng deed of sale for 4 kakailanganin pa i-register under sa pangalan ni 3 yung orcr bago ma-transfer kay 4 yung ownership if susundin and deed of sale ni 3 for 4.

Sabi naman ni 3, may nakausap sya sa LTO na kahit ilang deed of sale pa daw ang dumaan, pwedeng ipa-change of ownership yung huling gagamit ng sasakyan ng walang problema.

My addl questions are, pang ilang owner po akong lalabas kung sakasakali?
Is it true if you'd be the 3rd or 4th owner eh wala ng value yung sasakyan or sobrang bababa na ang value, the next time ibenta mo even after a month lang?

What's holding me is, the CR shows the vehicle is "Encumbered" to PSB...kaso bakit sila may Release of Chattel Mortgage...is it possible? So i checked with PSB, kaso they cannot divulge any information daw about the authenticity of Release of Chattel Mortgage copy. So i checked with LTO South Div. Eto sabi sakin ng babae. (pls see out conversation below"

I would advise you to let the owner do all that before you buy the car. If he hesitates, then I suppose he is hiding something. If so, go look for another car.

Dapat dito nung kinuha na ng owner yung OR/CR malinis na. Nilakad na dapat ng PSB sa LTO ang new OR/CR at nakapangalan na sa kanya. Hassle yan kase hawak nya na ang dokumento lalakarin pa tuloy ng owner yan tapos saka ibenta sayo. Wag ka pumayag na ganun ang papel nya bro. Tulad nga sabi ni GTi, let the owner do that for you.

Syempre naman. Bibilhin mo na nga sa kanya yan eh dapat kasama na yan sa service. Kapag hindi na ayos yan, nabili mo na, none of his business na yan at patay ka kapag nagkaproblema ka sa papeles. Never ka kumuha ng kotse na may malabo na papeles. Better safe than sorry. Kung nagbubuga pa siya ng mga katwiran, pass ka na and look for another one.

Basta po open yung deed of sale and sa original na owner pa rin nakapangalan yung oto wala naman magiging problema yun as long as available yung orig na OR/CR tapos inotarize ninyo deed of sale kung gusto mo transfer syo pangalan ng registration. Ako kasi nung bumili ako ng 2nd hand na kotse open deed of sale lang tapos acknowledgement receipt sa nagbenta kasama OR/CR ok na. Ganun din nung ibinenta ko na ulit yung kotse. Ayoko na maglipat ng ownership kasi balak ko din naman ibenta after x number of years talaga.
