    Hi Tsikot forumers!

Just got my NP Driver's License at excited na ako magmaneho. Wala pa akong experience pero I've done some research about some models na prospect ko kaya lang kasi dati ang budget ko lang max 120k kaya sa mga models lang na abot noon ang naresearch ko. Kontento na sana ako sa Nissan Sentra B14. But things change for the better at mayroon na akong 300k max budget.

As of now, ang mga prospect ko ay: Nissan Sentra GSX, Toyota Corolla Altis E,J , Vios, Lynx?, Focus (just saw a 300k ad on ayosdito.ph), Chevrolet Optra Sedan?

Tanong ko lang din po.. Ano ang mas advisable? Repossesed cars? Pre-owned cars? o yung traditional person to person seller? Ano pala pinagkaiba ng pre-owned cars sa 2nd hand (person to person)?

    TIA!

Congrats on your new license bro!

The best ang person to person para walang tubo sa gitna. Pero there are 2nd hand car dealers that offer good deals din naman. Tingin muna sa net for ads.

Pre-owned car is just a glorified term for used/2nd hand car. Pre-owned = has been owned before

Newest you can get for your budget are the Sentra and Lynx. Lynx has the edge in the looks, comfort and features department. Focus malakas sa gas dahil mabigat... Altis is the most practical choice besides the Vios dahil matipid siya sa gas at malawak-lawak ang loob. Yun nga lang medyo mataas resale value as compared to the others.

Salamat!

Cavite to Pasay ang kadalasan ruta ko pero once in a year umuuwi ako ng Quezon province or minsan sa Fairview.

    Salamat uli!

Get the latest model that your money can get. Just remember, there's no such thing as "nothing 2 fix" or "sasakyan na lang". Vios or Sentra would be a good car for you. You can get a 2007 and up model with your budget. good luck.

I'm leaning to get an Altis for the spacious cabin pero still thinking kung worth it ang Sentra. I just want to clarify kung talagang mataas ang FC ng Sentra at malaki ba ang difference? Paano maintenance at reliability?

Maybe other people can chip in on actual values.

Better go for the Sentra GS as it has better safety features and better interiors. The FC of the Sentra GS AT will be around 8-9 Km/L on city driving and 11-12 Km/L on the highway.

How about FD Civics? Can this compete with the Altis and N16 Sentra on my 3 main priorities? FC, maintenance and reliability?

I only have 300k in cash but I think I can go for financing for cars up to 500k.

Cavite to Pasay...

Gusto mo? If you run lots of highway, maganda ang ES Civic since it has lots of top end grunt.

I would not suggest getting financing lalo na kung 2nd hand car. Sayang lang talaga ng pera. Besides, you don't get good deals with 2nd hand.

Yung casa ba meaning mga car manufacturer? So hindi pala casa yung mga 2nd hand/pre-owned dealers?

So I assume na Altis ang PINAKA maganda ang FC among compact sedans?

    Edit:

Size doesn't matter as much as strength. The Mirage is projected to get five stars on the NCAP tests.

A "small" car that gets five stars will keep you alive better in a collision than an AUV that won't even get two stars, or an older "compact" that gets three.

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

An officemate got his Mirage end of November. He got the GLS MT model. After 3 weeks of use, he mentioned he was averaging 18 Km/L FC on city driving (normal weekday route of QC to Taguig).
