I agree with Renzo, mag Avanza ka na lang instead of Innova kung 2 lang anak mo especially if you are also considering taking out a car loan. Mas mura Avanza. But if otherwise, i highly suggest taking time to look at good quality used cars.

But i personally believe that cash is king. I personally hate paying for the monthly payments kaya for cars, i pay in cash. One exception is when i was starting out in new york, kelangan ko mag establish ng credit so i bought a used CRV at umutang ako sa bank.

Seeing that the Crosswind is a high miler, luma pa, baka daming repairs yan in the end.

Ito ang itanong mo sa sarili mo: Kung hindi ka ba inalok ng kaibigan mo sa Crosswind niya, may balak ka pa rin gumastos ng P400K para bumili ng kotse?

minsan kasi kapag walang offer, wala tayong balak bumili eh.... Parang ako, walang balak bumili dati ng Rolex pero nung nabasa ko thread dito sa Tsikot on Rolex, napapaisip na ako

If you can find a well maintained second hand car within your budget then go for the second hand.

But make sure your emergency fund is intact, stay liquid ika nga. Otherwise get a brand new car instead, kaya mo naman ata ang monthly amortization.

171k? Bata pa lang yun. Kung 300k, magdalawang isip ka na...

I would hesitate on the AT, though. Shift solenoid issues, slipping issues and fuel economy not nearly as good as an MT.
