This is the hardest part too. I once used an alpine 3342 car dsp and replaced with a audiocontrol eqx. Yes i am old. and the remaining 5 percent goes to how you hear music. It differs kasi from one person to another. One can be satisfied with a 40k budget while one person isnt with a 200k budget.
Sir if you don’t mind, can you explain why tweeters sound better when placed on the dash of an old Vios?

an audio expert once confessed, "we actually don't know why some baffles sound better than others. but that won't detract me from using it if it sounds good".

Timing ng sound ang reason dyan boss. Some speakers and some cars actually sound better na ganyan.

Kaya yung iba dinadaan nalang sa DSP yung timing para atleast yung stock location ng speakers magagamit parin.

Wala kasi nakaharang sa dashboard ng mga lumang vios. Nasa gitna ang instrument panel.

Is it normal for underseat subwoofers to go hot?

balak ko sana mag DIY ng ported na box for an 8" sub

Yes cranked up yung volume kaya nagiging mainit. If malakas ka magpatugtog, i would suggest to turn down the gain a little para hindi mag-overwork.

8" ported box is ok para sa Jazz. Using 1 for MUX. Sakto lang for cabin filling but more than enough para sa Jazz.

hi guys. im just updating myself here since wala na pala ang kac. im also an audio enthusiast for about 20 years already and doing the install/tuning myself. my latest one was in an isuzu mux, stock hu, jbl ms8 processor, phoenix gold ti 1000.5 amp (very small and yet very powerful), morel elates semi-active (midrange-tweeter separately powered from midbass) and morel ultimo. so far, very satisfied with the sound.

just got a hilux and itching to install since my ears bleed on the stock sound system. thats our curse when you are already accustomed to upgraded sound system. hehehe. goal is the same stock HU, loud and clear setup. planning for a straight audison because the audison bit 4.9 or 5.9 really caught my eyes. it is small and powerful also. it is on mickeys website. budgeting around less than 100k for this.

    components:
dsp/amp - audison 5.9 (dsp with 5 channel amp; 20w for the tweeters + 70w for the midbass + 270w for the sub)
front - audison prima or voce
sub - audison prima or voce (or the prima loaded sub to save me from doing a box lol)

    or
    dsp/amp - audison 4.9 (dsp with 4 channel amp so either active 70w x 4 or passive 130w x 2)
    sub amp - audison 1d (500w at 2 ohms)

front - audison prima or voce
sub - audison voce or jl tw3 (will need to build box in this option)

what do you think guys? anybody heard of this setup na?
im very limited with auditions because im from cebu. :-)

Boss how much score mo sa MS8?

Get the audison 5.9 nalang. Tapos JL subs. For the front no idea since i've never heard an audison component set pa.

    Hi sirs,

Im planning to upgrade my setup
    I have
    Pioneer z5050bt
    Focal 165f sps
    Hertz hcp4 amp

Im not that satisfied with the quality.
The highs are quite harsh. Mids are muddy
    Im just going for sq.
Im planning on replacing the hertz with focals fpp4100.
    Any insights?
    Thanks so much

Hindi ba kaya babaan yung frequencies kahit by 1db?

Replace the seps nalang. Check Morel tempo or DLS R6.2. Wala masyado difference if papalitan yung hertz.

i think thats the signature of the focal sound. medyo brightish cya, meaning ung high frequencies are accentuated. you can eq it if you have one

Yes boss, it's the same with Pioneer seps na bright yung tunog kahit flat eq na. Pero pangit na din tunog if ginalaw sa EQ.

Possible nga din boss kasi stock toyota tweeter placement lang pinaglagyan. Pero sa "demo" kasi na napakinggan ko hindi naman dapat bright. Hehe

Will check that nga. Thanks boss!
