i used to have 3way focal utopias (care of micky's autosound) driven by an audison amp and a polykev sub driven by a rf on my 90s ride, mas mahal pa yung audio setup sa kotse ko before toink

badass setup. i was shocked with the eutopia's price when i'm about to get my polikevlar then.

sold the entire setup, then bought parts for my race gun, bought the utopias at 1k dollars or 24k pesos micky's price, that time it was before erap's presidency, tapos naging president sya, ayun...naging 42k bigla, buti old stock yung kay micky...i used to moderate the AI boards, early 2000s

Kay ACA ba ito? Pwede na yung ganitong set-up kapag nasa budget pero dagdag nalang ng sound deadening para mas ok yung tunog. Mga plus 2k lang din pero may improvement. Kaya naman ng hu ng mirage yun kasi may LOC namang ikakabit.

yep, that was around 40k iirc. you're from south diba? is it mickey's? dun ko din nabili focal & rf 4ch amp ko. the audison mono amp at listening room. tagal na din nun.

yes sa megamall ko nabili yung audison, sold it at the same price, the buyer was from subic, he sent his driver just to buy it...ganun ka fanatic mga audiophiles, btw i dont know how they tune stuff now, but before we just use trial and error sa placement to get the stage height, imaging, etc....then nauso yung time correction, which made things easier, sound quality was a non issue with seps like that, but you need to tune it properly, dynaudio mk240 was also very good back then...lalo na sa piano...focals if you like vocals and guitars...i have a background in musical instruments and i used to play live thats why medyo may pakmaselan tyo bro..i can pick up anong sablay, if thats the bass or bassdrum( nawawala, minsan sa left biglang right), sadly nag move on na ako, i love that hobby...




my favorite audition cd was eric clapton's unplugged, becoz may dvd version, you can see the placement of eric and his accompaniment...how wide is the stage, san si eric, etc...

i found my focal sounds a lot better nga than my old mb quart. i moved the latter to the back since i got the former. model 90 din yung ride(L300 versa van)yes it shines with the vocals and instruments, bigla nga ako nag-shift to jazz and classical,,,friends and family find me weird listening with such music while driving. kung hindi daw ako inaantok,,, nope, good music kept me awake kahit slow pa yan basta sq. shelved the gears since i have the pickup and i have no plans selling those. it could be an upgrade soon with the HU then use the focal + an under seat sub perhaps,,,idk, bahala na.

ok and focals sa smaller subs like 8 to 10"er, di makahabol sa bass lines ang bigger subs sa mid bass ng focals, which are very accurate, my audition cd for that used to be the police live...yung crowd is clapping, sa 4 oclock mo may sisigaw sa audience...galing, walang rear fill yung setup ko pala before

btw rippingtons live in LA ang favorite kong jazz cd, btw im referring to the tech 15 years back, alam ko ok din mga flac audio pero i only listened to them sa headphones paps...

Guys, newbie here. Ano mas OK sa dalawa Hertz HSK 165 or Focal PS 165F? Yan kasi ang inalok saken ng C&J AutoSound. And kelangan ko ba talaga ng amp?

The 165F is already their Flax line. I am a big fan of those drivers. Ibang iba from their Polyglass line and in my opinion better balanced than their Kevlars. It is also warm sounding vs the trademark bright sound of Focal. The Flax line has high sensitivity. Try running it first powered by the HU. And then if you got some budget, get an amp. Doing it by steps will make you appreciate each upgrade.

I have loved this hobby of ours since college, nung uso pa coaxials, 6x9s and mga tumatalon na CD player kapag may lubak. Car Audio was my gateway drug into Home Theater and Home Audio. Ang gastos lang talaga nitong hobby na ito!

papi, my daily commute is 2kms one way, house, school the office, what i just do is watch last night's news on youtube na naka bluetooth sa harman kardon HU ni subby... magastos talaga yang bisyo na yan..iba talaga ang passion ng audiophiles, i can still remember the first time i heard jacinta's moonriver sa isang properly tuned system...gives a tear in your eye...circa late 90s yata

I think the entry level Pioneer X2750BT already has enough tuning options. From Time Alignment, 13-Band Graphic EQ, Active Crossover options. Pioneer also has a higher than usual preout voltage(for future upgrades like an external amp), which is double than Alpine's. Lastly, I prefer the "fat" sounding Pioneer than the clinical Alpine.

I have an Alpine CDE-W265BT, gusto ko I-upgrade speakers and add subwoofer, ok ba entry level na Morel for fronts at least 2-way at ok din ba entry level na morel sa rear-coax? Anong murang subwoofer na ok ang tunog, pa-suggest ng brand and model. Gusto ko is sound quality. Kailangan ko rin ba maglagay pa ng amplifier for my speakers and subwoofer? BTW car is Toyota Revo and I don't want to consume the rear for subs due to cargo.
