actually, it depends on you. if you are satisfied with current sound quality and just want higher volume, then no need to change. does your HU have PRE-OUT (RCA) ports to connect to the new AMP?

Nope. I've heard of a Civic FD's stock head unit with a complete chain setup (speakers, amplifiers, and subwoofers) and it sounded quite nice tonally naman.
The only reason you want to change the head unit is when you feel it's the weakest chain of your system. For many, these is usually the need for a flat signal or the need to remove the stock HU filters. The more "enthusiasts" ones will tell that you need the better features of more EQ bands, crossover controls, time alignment, etc.
That prevalent misconception is why one of the goals while I was building my concept was to debunk that myth. The result is that I professionally compete using my stock head unit...
but with an incredibly creative (aka do-not-do-it-to-your-car) signal route that preserves the quality of the signal I have from my iPhone.
Ang hassle pala. Ang hirap ipagawa sa casa since wala talagang oras. Alam mo naman... Schedule pa ng appointment, ang haba pa ng pila, makipagkulit-kulitan pa sa mga warranty personnel nila and so on and so forth.
But then again, bat natatanggap pa ang GPS SD card? Kung sira yan diba dapat pati yan di nababasa?
Marupok ba talaga tong mga OEM AVT head units?

It's not the SD card mechanism but rather how it reads the files. GPS data is handled by another decoder so it's unaffected while turning digital audio files like .wav, .mp3, etc. to something that can be read by your head unit lies with the DAC chip on the board and that might be the one which is defective. The reason why it can't decode is most probably the culprit of your error message of "bad files". Problem is, your DAC chip is central to the head unit's operations and it's like changing the CPU unit of your computer. Most manufacturers would rather say that you replace the entire board instead since what they usually get are finished-units na with their board assembly being outsourced to low-cost production countries like Taiwan.
That's my guess anyway.

Hmm~ Kung sakaling ipa-warranty claim to sa casa, ihohonor pa ba nila yun kapag hindi na sakanila nagpapamaintenance? Supposedly walang kinalaman dun ang head unit, but would they find ways to weasel out of it?

It should be honored. But what I'm afraid is that they'll juggle you between the CASA/Hyundai and AVT Philippines.
ano po kaya problema ng set up ko.
im using 1 amplifier, crossover switch, 1 16' ata na sub then 4 na seps.
eto po problem. sobrang basag yung tunog ng mid range pag dumaan sa amp pero pag sa head unit naka connect okay naman ang tunog. wala naman problema sa sub. Minsan okay naman tunog kahit sa amp naka kabit.
After getting a new car, how long do you have to wait before upgrading your audio system? Medyo critical kasi if electrical warranty ang ma-void.
ok lang ba na ang subwoofer (10") and 2-way seps to be powered by a single 4 channel amp or mas ideal na may separate amp ang subwoofer.
Mga master any review about Precision Response Amplifier? Ill wait for your reply.. TIA
mga paps...patulong...i have HSK 163 (3-way), amp would be LRx 5.1k and I'm planning to have it semi-active. But not the usual 3-way semi-active wherein TW+ Midrange for amp A-channel in A-pillar, and Midbass for amp B-channel. Question is:
would it be advisable na ang TW for A-channel, and midrange + midbass for B-channel? Midbass would be in stock location, and midrange would be in kick panel, while the tweeters would be in a-pillar?..
doing so will make the soundstage larger and for additional depth? and to avoid that "in your face" sound?...
what would i be facing in this kind of setup?
TIA

Guys, anong headunit ang may magandang display. Hanap ko sana yung tipong madaming VU meter bars then may peak hold. Yung mga touchscreen ba na pioneer may ganyan, or this feature exclusive lang sa mga old vacuum-florescent displays?
