Ang stock unit ko is AVT and sa mga nabasa ko, kailangan palitan yung HU to get a nice sound set up.
Ang worry ko lang is mawawala yung built-in GPS ko which I really enjoy.
Ano po bang HU ang available na hindi masyadong mahal and me built-in GPS and at the same time will give you a good sound output like Pioneer.

yung buong buo and tamang tama lang ang bass, attainable yan...may noise-cancelling pa nga (or almost) by the use of deadening. Pwede mo naman di palitan yung AVT mo, just buy a DSP. Or if you want to change your HU, go with the likes of x2650bt, then plug your phone to use its GPS feature. It has features like appradio, and mirrorlink. Kailangan lang may mobile internet ka.

Mga Bro, newbie here. I want to upgrade my car audio. Right now I have stock speakers and Sony Xplod HU. My car is Nissan Sentra 2007 gx model. Do you have any shops na ma rrecommend preferably makati or paranaque area?

Ang gusto ko sana yung very affordable sound "package" na since di ako masyado marunong sa car audio. I'm gearing towards a better sound quality, not necessarily "Boom Boom" basta malinis lang and buong buong na sounds.

    Thanks mga Sirs!

If you want to retain your head unit, then the 1st thing to do is change the stock oem speakers. Look for a low wattage high sensitivity type. To add more bass that will blend w/ head unit powered speakers, install a under the seat type subwoofers. AVT sells this kind of active subs. You might want to deaden your doors, while you're at it.

Adding a DSP, should be the last option if you are still not satisfied with the outcome.

    Need some advice mga sirs!

My 60 something dad recently discovered that his i-phone can play some nice music. He wants to attach it to his head unit. It is a JVC unit (stock unit w/Isuzu Sportivo). It has no aux in but has a "j-Link" jack at the back for the CD changer. I need an adapter "KS-U58" but can't seem to find one locally. Anybody know where I can get one?

    TIA,

    Richard

Yup, eBay has it. Check this link http://www.ebay.com/itm/JVC-KS-U58-J...-/280591475229 maybe try CDR King, LA Car Accessories or shops that specializes in audio setup like Mickeys Auto Sound?

    Thanks guys!

Have you ever tried buying stuff from China through e-bay? I purchased a few items from the UK and US but not China. I am a bit apprehensive about this.

    Thanks again,
    Richard

Yes I do, as long as seller is Top Rated and 100% or close rating. I also look at recent feedback.

I do avoid China or HK sellers as much as possible, especially recent months because shipping time from these countries has taken longer (up to 8 weeks!) Will usually go for US or UK sellers wherein shipment arrival times are more consistent.

USPS first class mail ang usual ship method pinipili ko whenever possible para mas mura. Arrival is almost same sa USPS Priority based on experience. At times, dumarating in a week.

I avoid EMS/UPS/Fedex/DHL para iwas customs duties.

I had also used Global Shipping Program AS NEEDED (items more than USD100) and prepaid the tax. Mas mura kaysa UPS/Fedex/DHL tapos magbayad pa ng tax... but not as fast (1-2weeks). I got some of my car audio equipment this way.

For a province person like me, wherein I have to always factor in SLEX toll fees and fuel, eBay is quite convenient and cost effective

    Richard,

Since your JVC head unit is a removable DIN one and not integrated like newer cars nowadays, I would recommend you change it into a newer head unit instead of searching for the cable. Newer head units have auxillary connections as standard nowadays and the most affordable 1DIN will set you back just a few thousands. Depending on how much you value your time, this might be a better idea than searching for the cable.

    1. AVH-X2500BT.
    2. AVHX4600BT
    3. AVH-X4500BT
    4. AVHX5600BHS

    Thanks!

The higher the second digit after X means it's of a "higher" model. So that X5600 will usually trump the 3 others.

    Thanks Sir Jhnkvn,

Mas mahal pala ng $50 yung #4.
Now I only need to check the dimension para hindi na kailangan pa magpalit ng radio panel.
Akala ko pag 2DIN standard na yung size nya. Iba-iba rin pala.

If so, judge nalang whether the additional features are worth it for you.

since your budget is open, there are so many brands to choose from. starting from the low budget to the high-end ones depending on the type of system you prefer like SQ or LnC.

as a headstart, consult a reputable audio shop and installer and lay down your preference. most likely they can hook you up to audition some of the installs they had. shops like mickeys, musico, jc car, mach2,phataudio, simplesounds, projectai etc. are some of the well known shops that you can check upon.

    - processors like audison bit ten/one, jbl ms8, mosconi 6 to 8, alpine pxa h800 etc. are some brands you can check
    - 2-way fronts, focal, dls, seas, micro-precision, bewith, morel, audison, hertz...etc. just too many models to choose from ;)
    - coaxial rear, you can put any coaxial speaker but its seldom use in a 2-way system
    - 8" subs, just like the front speakers, there are too many brands and models to choose from ;)
    - amp, depending on the power requirement of your system. there are mono, 2/3/4/5/6 channels available, 4ch and mono combi are common, 5ch are getting popular as well.

check out kotse audio club (KAC), there are plenty of builds posted there you can refer to.

call and ask any installer bro, they will be glad to help you with your budget.

btw, if you go mosconi, not sure but I think its 29k+, morel tempo 12k+, rf p2 punch 8" 5k+, an amp say 30k+. that's 76k+. if you include the wiring/deadening/enclosure, you really need to stretch your budget.

you may want to consider audison bit ten, nasa 16k+ yata based sa mga previous post.
