    1. A bang per buck amplifier... differs by person to person and from budget to budget. It's kinda like asking kung ano ang "bang-per-buck" watch. Some might say G-Shock while others define it as Tagheurs. For me, I generally define bang-per-buck as secondhand amplifiers that I like and is selling below 50% SRP.

    2. Sound deadening: It's highly recommended for newbies.

    3. It's lacking in bass because your typical separate crossover cutoff is at 80hz. This is to protect the speaker so you don't end up carelessly frying it. A subwoofer would be way better suited in reproducing your "bass" ;)

    Two questions:
    1. Ano ba gusto mo pa ipagawa?
    2. What's your current system?

Thank you for the quick response!

I own a Honda Jazz (2013) and recently upgraded the stock HU to Pioneer 8450.

Im after sound clarity at yung may kaunting oomph but not the one that would cause the car to shake or vibrate :D I hope Im making sense. Maraming salamat po!!

If you're loving the stock system over the current one. It's probably due to wrong installation. An inverted polarity speaker will do wonders in having that "wtf masmaganda pa stock ko" moments.

From the Pioneer 8450 head unit, do you have an amplifier powering your speakers? If yes, you have to check whether it has enough channels for a subwoofer. Most amplifiers come in mono (1), two, four, and five channels with four-channels being most common. If you have the four, the easiest way to integrate the subwoofer is to have channels 1 and 2 for the Infinity speakers up front and bridge channels 3 and 4 for the subwoofer.

As for the subwoofer, choose whatever you like. Do you need space? If yes and your aim isn't car-shaking bass then an 8" would suffice. Depending on your subwoofer, you will need to then design a box: sealed or ported? If you have an installer, you should consult him regarding your options. Most installers go for a 12" subwoofer in a 1.5 cu.ft ported or sealed box.

Where do you generally live ba? Seeing as you're around QC.. if you're around Banawe you can easily contact me as I live near the area and, depending on my free time, could help you out in your car audio Q&As.

Thank you for the response.

    (AVT) 2 Din HU
    Infinity Seps
6.5 inch Digital Design sub with enclosure
    Kinetic KD70 amplifier
Double din audio panel for GE Jazz

I am also opting for sound deadening, may shop po ba na gumagawa nyan sa Banawe? Maraming salamat po! Hoping to get this project done tomorrow :D

As much as possible, I would try to get the Pioneer head unit over the AVT head unit unless want or need the features of the AVT. You'll have less car audio hassles with the Pioneers ;)

In Banawe, my preferred installer is still Nogs of Candyshop. I haven't availed of his services personally but a lot of my friends have and as such, I usually recommend him as well. There are other reputable shops naman near Banawe: Candyshop, his neighbor JetCar, Ginza Audio, Maspro, DawgAudio, and C3. Among these, Jetcar and DawgAudio charges above average rates for better than average works. C3 used to be my brother's favorite in 2003 but I never came to like them (they're good at discounting prices though).

Wag ka kasi magpacute, just go in and ask for the proprietor. Nahiya ka pa eh ikaw naman customer a lot of people simply make tambays at Banawe kasi so it isn't surprising they aren't approaching you if nagpapacute ka lang. The owner is Arnold Yang or Nogs and his table is at the farthest side of Candyshop. Lapitan mo lang then explain what you need.

Okay, we have a problem sa lineup mo. Your amplifier, the Kinetic KD70 is their Kinetic's amplifier that has a vacuum tube pre-amplifier stage and retails around Php8000. Problem is that I believe it is NOT stable being bridged. What this means is that you'll probably have to power your subwoofer using just one of the channels (effectively, your sub will be getting 70W * 4ohms) which isn't a lot but I suggest trying it out muna before purchasing a mono amplifier.

Pero the easier way to do it is to simply rely on your installer. So pick one, tell them what you want and your budget, and ask them for their opinions. I would try to hold off any purchases (they'll obviously push you to buy "better") until you actually have "maximized" your setup. Oh yeah, and YGPM.

Kay jetcar ka na lang. Tinungkab tungkab ni candyshop yung dashboard ng sasakyan and did not even offer to fix it when I said the problem to him.

Trust me, it isn't funny at all.

Kitang- kita!
(hindi naman sana). Unskilled Professionals pala mga gumagawa diyan.
Dapat diyan i- blacklist na, baka may mabiktima pa!

    Sorry 'bout that sir.

Actually, Banawe is more of a "you pay what you get". This is the reason, although it's near, that I didn't have my installation done there. I have no worries if I'll be personally supervising them but alas, it's not like I can make bantay there while they work on my car.

All I need is to augment my Vios' bass.

I called seatmate kanina. Nagtanong ako ng repaint ng dashboard. It costs 8500 daw. Baka lang may alam kayong fix.

Wala ba sila mga touch-up lang? Then again, that's hard to do as the scratch's pretty deep.

Personally, I'll just leave it as it is. It might piss you off at times but I believe there isn't any cheap "fix" to restore it back to its original state. I'll try to pursue John's advice in the vent panel and hope it's detached from the body (doubtful here too)

I would suggest EQing the treble and mids kung nasasapawan na ang highs. Although my usual suggestion would be to lower the EQ (maxing it out isn't really all that great) and try to make it up by more power (increase the volume knob). Ex. If your usual setting's 10/10 bass, 0/10 mids, 0/10 treble at volume 10. Try to aim for 5/10 bass, 2/10 mids, 4/10 treble and volume 20.

Oh yeah, as for the 2,000php active subwoofers. Hmmm.. meron naman but they're of extremely low quality. I think you can still find some tubular NBN subwoofers at those prices cguro. Lightning Lab's around 4k I think.

Personally, I won't go for them. Instead, I'll try to improve my existing setup via better speakers or better tuning.

Is it legit? Well, that depends where are you installing and buying from.

Most V12 amplifiers are knock-offs. These were popular way back in the early 2000s was because Alpine's MRV amplifiers were selling like hotcakes. Sadly, I will raise red flags here. As much as original Alpine amps are great and still solid, there's WAY MORE fakes out in the market than originals.

From my point, tunutubuan ka. A V12's going roughly >3k, you can easily buy of genuine JBL subs at >3k.
