Note: Student lang po ako.

For spl system, you have to get a good amp(mono amp) for these, pwede nga yung 2 sub na gt5 s12 in a good tuned box like 38hz for spl, then surely, at least 800watts * 2 ohms monoblock if your sub is jbls12 single 4 ohms, unlike V-12 amps kase, mono or class D amp are better driving subs, tipid sa kuryente at mas solid yung bass, pure kase na bass lang ang lalabas sa subs mo.
Head unit, beter hanap ka ng at least 4volts 3 rca pre outs like yung bago ngayun na pioneer 6350, or, pwede din yung iba na 2 volts lang na may rca out, then gamit ka na lang ng active crossover, sure budget dyan around 30k minimum kasama na yung woodworks sa trunk, necessary wirings, electrical upgrade, cables, amplifiers etc, because, you want spl, he he, big three upgrade and a 2 farad capacitor for sure, maybe ad it to your budget, if you stay on your current set up, pwede rin yan, palitan mo na lang yang v-12 mo ng mono amp at least 300watts rms * 4 ohms para sa sub at gamitin mo na lang yang amp sa front and rear speakers, head unit syempre kung wala ka pa..
Recommended shop, ehem, kung around taguig ka lang dito na lang sa shop namin sa taguig, if not, marami nababanggit na car audio shop dito sa forum e, better ask first na lang muna for prices baka madugo, err,

Never heard of this hocus-pocus. So it's false.

Salamat sa reply sir! Anu po ba mas magandang HU, Pioneer or Alpine? Yung sub ku po kasi ngayon is 1200 watts, anu mono amp po kailangan dun? Di ko po gets. Sorry newbie. Salamat po!

the best head unit sir is what fit your budget there, if you can go with alpine, were go ahead, it was the best for car audio like the alpine 9887, it's unique ability is the 24bit DAC, digital to analog converter which means from your song converted to mp3 format sound, if you play it to that kind of head unit, it will play like a cd format file or nearly to flack or wav file.. about naman po dun sa sub nyo, the rating 1200watts is its rated peak power, so just ignore these numbers, actually it's just around 300watts rms. Mono amp(like class D amplifiers) po is a single channel amp that only produce low pass frequency, good to a known subwoofer like you have and very efficient in power source, marami na ngayun ng ganung klasing amp na mura lang like our new lightning lab amp rated 600watts * 1ohm stable for around 5k in prices, your existing amplifier is a 4 channel amp normally in class ab switching, so limited on filtering such low frequency, sorry, but V-12 amps always isn't good in that way, it's rated power you said 2500 watts max is its peak combined power, mostly, they are around 80watts rms by 4 * 4 ohms, their just producing more on flat frequency responces and power so you need a good head unit or a crossover to do the work in fine tuning your system.

Mouse, saw your exact post in KAC pero dito nalang ako mareply.

First thing is that "porma" is normally expensive. I always advice those who venture into car audio to not underestimate how much this hobby drains our wallets.. literally. Masmabilis talaga if you provide us with complete details rather than us making guesses on what your equipment is. ALWAYS indicate a budget

First thing is to get a proper headunit. Pioneer/Alpine, ikaw na bahala dyan. Both are good brands and you can't really go wrong with either of them. Personally, I like Alpine's 117 and 9887 (around 13k) for its tuning flexibility. Anything else and I stick with Pioneer (especially their yummy P99RS.. pero nasa pangarap ko lang yun)

iandvro in KAC was suggesting to deaden the doors. Deadening is to help reduce panel resonance.. in short, better sound from the speaker. But it's expensive for its "additional" benefits. Best leave it out on a budget setup and use the money on a better sounding front separates instead.

There's no such thing as a "mura" setup. You typically get what you payed for. Most Banawe installers offer sound packages that include free installation and "tuning" (I won't hope much from them though) so be sure to take advantage of that. I can't give you recommendations on what to purchase... these info is just a search away. So next time, use the search button.

Also, as tsikotshops says, stop using V12s. Mabilis lang sila masira so in the long run, you're spending more. In this case, I'll take a good amp over 5 cheapo amps.

Alpine was actually selling the 9887 at 12k during the Trans Sport Show in SMX :D

The actual price was around 12.7k I believe. Pretty sure I didn't misread that it's the 9887 >_>

Take it slow. Best replace headunit first then those kenwood speakers. The biggest difference would be from replacing these two components.

Para saan ba yun USB port? For iPod or USB stick use? If iPod, you can always use Alpine's KCE-422 iPod cable... propriety, sad, but at least kaya ng 9887 iPod controls

How far are you planning on your sound setup? If you plan on building gradually. Splurging on a 9887 would be better in the long run rather than selling your existing headunit. But if you plan on a relatively simple setup (in other words: walang sali-sali sa competition), a Pioneer 6350 suffices.

As an alternative.. You might want to look at the Alpine 9886's successor. Forgot ko na kung anong model number but it should have a USB port (9887's successor is the CDA-117 if I remember)

Kung bakit ang mahal pa ng mga 9887 is because of its time alignment features. Possibly the #1 requirement in having a "good" sound system. Mahirap kasi pagwalang T/A and then sumasali ka lang sa competitions. You'd be hard-pressed to win.

Pagsimpleng sounds lang, I think okay naman mag Pionner ng mga 3-6k. Pili lang, no use being fussy since at its category, same lang naman mga features nila. There would be a lot of KAC people who'll be coming tomorrow night (Wednesday 8pm June 1) sa resto ni Tita elco at Kamias QC (check KAC for details) for an audition. I'll be there too since hihingi pa ako ng tuning tips sa mga masters, I think it would be worth the visit para makakuha ka ng tips sa mga tao doon. I'd say yun buong stay mo (8pm-11pm) would be worth 20 threads about sounds. I started out there din kasi.

P.S. Hindi ako nagaftermarket HU. Went for OEM headunit tapos nagdagdag nalang ako ng processor.
