    TIA

If you plan on going for just the head unit - speaker route. There's no problem in saving the cost of wires naman ;) however, there will still be an improvement in going for thicker wires mainly on the basis of less resistance. If your speakers is above 5,000php, I suggest you replace them.

I can get a subwoofer, throw it in a ported 3cu.ft enclosure then feed it 300W to beat the exact same subwoofer but in a sealed 1cu.ft enclosure and feed it 1000W of power and still the 300W will be louder. Given this, it's best to simply optimize the design of an enclosure more than feeding it more power (which translates into lesser fuel efficiency btw)
Thanks sir jhnkvn! Great help sir!

Usually when you purchase a set of brand new speakers may it be a coaxial or component type, kasama sa box ang speaker wires. It would be a good idea if you can use them para hindi naman sila masayang.

Call Perfect Circle Banawe. It's still best to buy from authorized distributors for peace of mind.

Kung bibili ako sa perfect circle, sila din mag kakabit diba. Magaling din ba sila mag tune? Do all shops tune the same or may magagaling mag tune? I'm asking kasi sabi sabi na matining daw ang jbl 609c and harsh sa tenga ang tunog, kaya I think tuning is a must and must be very good.

found DLS RS6N, how is this compared to Morel Maximo 6 and Focal na entry seps or similar price range? eto lang kasi afford ko kasi un morel and focal i think is 10k++ na. I would need to squeeze in an amp pa around 6500 para 15k ang total ko.

    DLS RS6N + SoundMagus CK75.

ano masasabi niyo sir sa configuration na to?

Perfect Circle has competent installers naman. In fact, I believe most installers in Banawe are competent naman (if they aren't, how can they still be in business?) thanks to business necessity.

Tuning, on the other hand, is an art. It's art is because music is subjective. It's like tuning the ECU of your car, there's science behind it.. but most of it is art.

Same ba sila magtune? This unfortunately depends. Pure tuning as it is is easy on a regular setup as your tuning options are limited. Most have tone controls: treble, mid, bass to adjust and the occasional subwoofer level for the 2DINN models. The better ones have some sort of equalizer so you can adjust some frequency bands. The best ones have stuff like crossover, phase, time alignment, etc.

More important to getting something sound right in your car is the installation. Tama ba pagwire nila ng speaker wires? How is the amplifier's gain, crossover, and other settings? How is the attenuation of the tweeter? etc. Once this is done right, you then proceed to the tuning via the head unit.

If you hear the JBL sounds harsh, then you do two things:
    (1) first is you fix the install side muna -- decrease the tweeter attenuation from the passive crossovers. Meron yan mga +dB, 0dB, -dB and you adjust that to "tame" how much your speaker shouts at you. If it shouts too much, this will come off as too "harsh" for the listener. The need for this stems from the sensitivity of the driver kasi. If you feed a tweeter 1W, most of them will produce 95dB.. if you feed a midbass 1W, most of them are in the 90dB. In other words, your tweeter is shouting at you and the midbass is barely moving. That's why you need to "balance" them by attenuating or reducing the tweeter level in accordance to the midbass.

    (2) Once the install side is done, you then try to tune it via the head unit. If you have tone controls, you'll be looking at reducing your treble primarily. If you have a graphic equalizer, you'll be cutting at the 1khz to 5khz region in most cases.

How much an installer needs to tune depends on your gears. Don't expect the best unless you give them the best. It's like you shouldn't expect 1000HP out of a stock RB26DETT GTR engine if you do not plan on getting "better" parts.

If you wanna know how much "professional" tuning is in the Philippines (assuming you have good gears), one-off tuning will cost you from the well-renowned car audio shops will go around Php12,000+ and this may go even more depending on the complexity of your system.

sir jhnkvn, updated price po ba nung morel maximo 6 is 6-7k lang? Parang sabi sa back read ko na introductory price lang un and now mga nasa 10k-ish na price niya. Paenlighten naman ng price talaga nito. And pahingi naman po tips sa seps among maximo 6, DLS RS6N or Focal pero mukhang malabo un budget ko for focal.

    Maximo 6 vs DLS RS6N?

    I'm still for JBL.

But between Morel Maximo 6 or the DLS, I'll go for Morel.
Wow! Really? Still for the jbl kayo? Why?

Because at these price points, lahat sila more or less same materials lang ginagamit. And this makes it hard to differentiate them. Not that it's anything bad but sometimes you have brands that standout because of their engineering. For example, Focal is well-known sa inverted tweeter domes nila. Morel pioneered the carbon fiber sandwich on their Fat Lady flagship speakers, JBL is very famous sa GTi subwoofers nila because it uses an underhung magnet to reduce distortion, Scanspeak's slitted treated paper cones, etc.

When it comes to the lower price bracket. It's not really all that important to get best speakers because there's no best. Because of price point, limited sila on what they can throw sa speakers nila. "You can't throw a 50,000php beryllium tweeter sa 5,000php na speaker" so parang ganun na yun.

The reason why people continue to shell out big bucks is always on one premise: "tingin ko masmaganda tumunog si X kaysa sa current ko" This is true in a way because better equipment will always be more capable than budget ones. But it doesn't mean they sound better. Yun problema kasi sa industry is that they correlate "better" with more expensive. May makita lang silang brand name ng Focal parang "shet.. mahal at maganda". But fact is, I never had people who sat in my car.. listen to my system.. and know my system. That's a huge revelation is because your ears -- or somebody's ears won't really care about which brand. But when we start seeing things using our eyes.. our perception of sound changes.

If you look at it in a strict SQ criteria, I will guarantee you: you cannot differentiate them apart if I blindfold you. But once I remove the blindfold, I suggest you purchase the speaker na tingin mo.. masmaganda sayo. Because user perception is automatically +50% SQ points sa iba.. hehe.

Hmmmm, if kukunin ko un JBL, is there a guarantee na matutune ng shop ito in such a way na hindi matining or masakit sa ears un highs niya? and also, should I just spend the extra na natipid ko sa seps and buy a more expensive amp? ~8-9k amp instead of nasa mga 6k amp lang. May sub and HU na kasi ako.

    For the amplifier power questions:

Mabibitin ka ba? No. Although I don't know your listening volume so.. baka mabitin ka. But if you were to ask me outright.. I'll say no.
Nice. Thanks for that. So maybe I'll go for the tempo. But around 12k, (iverify ko pa price ng tempo today) best ba un morel tempo? May inooffer sakin sundown audio cs 6.5 for 12.5k. Ok ba to?

Siguro una ko na bibilin un jbl 804ez para flexible un seps ko. Actually may lightning audio pa for around 8500. Mas ok ba un kesa sa jbl? And also, hindi po ba medyo mababa un 80w per channel kung sakaling mag morel tempo ako? Kasi 120w ata un. And 80% nun ay 96. Kaya parang mababa ata masyado?
