I have the same one. Ok naman. I guess i have to find a soap na produces thick foam para makapit sa car.

Bought it on shopee. I just use ordinary microtex shampoo. it foams okay but not thick enough though.

Probably would buy a legit snow foam lance para mas okay ung pag produce ng foam and then a branded shampoo.

Jusr finished compounding the car today. Not perfect though. Need a better combo than megs ultimate compound and mf pad. Probably megs m105 and mf pad/cutting pad.

Tomorrows project: polishing using m205 naman.

kahit di masyadong magfoam bro basta ok ang lubricity. if you want it foamy, yung mga super suds ng Chemical Guys maganda. kaso wala na yata distributor ng CG products diyan sa atin, you can buy online though.

i think it will turn okay yang na-compound mo once you do finishing with M205. fo me, as long as mawala yung swirls at watermarks ok na, any scratches na maiwan hindi ko na alintana, malalim na yun. kapag hinabol pa, tendency lalong ninipis clear coat.

You can try Microtex sun shield, although it will only last me a week or so and I have to apply again.

Recently, the plastic part below the windshield were becoming white. I experimented with Microtex Stainz Guard and I have good results at the moment.

I use Meguiar's Gold Class Trim Detailer to keep a 19yo CRV rubber and plastic trims in good condition

You have a nice looking CR-V! I think I made a mistake when I had the car repainted. Those black plastic trims were good for a couple of months only after the repaint.

I have to admit I was tempted to have the CRV repainted including the trims but my dad hesitated. He prefers to keep the CRV's paint and bumpers untouched. The clear coat is already gone and there are some few paint cracks already but he still prefers to keep it as it is.

Keeping those original trims in good condition can be tedious. On a rainy month, I have to reapply the trim detailer every 2 weeks. During summer season it can last up to 2 months.

I inquired for a repaint in Alex Restoration and the price is gold!!! 300,000 Pesos for a basic package. If I may stray further from the topic, why is it that your bumper doesn't have its body color? I observed this with a body color like yours.

This CRV with the bare plastic bumper is one of those 1st batch that arrived here in PH. It was bought Dec 1998 if I remember correctly.

I'm hopeful also. Haha. M205 with polishing/finishing pad, speed around 4500rpm, little pressure as possible. Para lang mag-'pop' ung paint. After that one coat of carnauba. Then curing time muna bago i-apply ung gustong kong i-try na product, megs fast finish. Hehe

1st gen Honda CR-V before facelift had black bumpers front and rear ...

Face lifted models had body colored bumpers ... slight increase in HP and torque ... Engine is turned around ... Illumination on power windows switches ... Overdrive button (no more 3rd gear on shift selector) ...

sa polishing, pinaka-makintab na nagawa ko sa pyrenese black ay yung nakikita yung parang blue flakes sa reflection ng paint kapag naarawan. sa m205 ko napakintab ng ganun...

i have not try meg's fast finish. the only meg's product i have is ultimate black plastic restorer. so far effective naman, you just need to apply liberally sa mga namumuting plastic trims, let it linger then wipe off. dati pahid-pahid lang ginagawa ko, its not going to work. you need to parang soak the part like mga front o rear plastic bumpers na namumuti para ma-penetrate ng restorer. i use small paint brush to apply.

Just finished detaiing the daily driver. 4 days din inabot. I was not rushing this hahaha

Was able to try megs fast finish last night and it was by far the easiest sealant to apply. I mean easiest is an understatement. You apply it using a microfiber foam applicator. Much easier to control. I made 2 coats of it. First coat last night then let it cured for 12 hours and the applied another coat. Hopefully it is durable.
