Paanong faded? Namutla o kupas na? Or marami lang swirl marks? Is it single stage paint or may clear coat? Marami possibilities. Kung may clear coat pa yan and faded lang dahil sa gasgas, kaya yan ng claybar + compounding + polishing + glazing + sealing. Kung single stage yan, baka kailangan ng ipa-hilamos.

Di ko kilala yang Mothers shop na yan, but I do like Mothers brand of products. Is the shop officially affiliated with Mothers? Maganda yung three step process ng Mothers (polish+glaze+wax) and especially yung step 3 na carnauba wax.

    Thanks!

Never bothered sa paint nya until now. Gusto ko i-diy sya. Sana masave ko paint nya at mabigyan din ng protection man lang.

The car is almost 20 years old and is not protected against the elements. I suspect those faded parts are already damaged paint and would require repainting.

Bring you car to a detailing shop. They can easily tell if they can fix your paint by full detailing or not.

It could be kumupas na yung single stage paint, or oxidized yung clearcoat.

Big Bert's ok. Dun ako nagpapa-paint sealant and full detailing. Masyado matrabaho eh. I can do the occasional wash+claybar+wax, pero kung aabutin ako ng maghapon, sa professional ko na lang ipapagawa.

BTW, Big Bert does not do repainting. When inquiring, ask them point-blank kung ano ang cause ng discoloration at kung kaya nila ibalik sa dating kintab at kulay. Otherwise, they might assume na ok lang sayo ang best effort nila, even if di kakayanin sa buffing and polishing ang paint problem mo. Remember that they are a business after all. As long as matino pa ang pintura, may magagawa pa sila, otherwise baka sa iba ka na lang pumunta. So, just inquire without committing.

Typically kasi, detailing is still an apprenticeship type of learning. You learn by working with another detailer, then get the necessary skills to detail on your own.

Try mo kontakin Meguiars Kamias (google is your friend) or Mothers Car Care PH if they have detailing classes or can refer you to one.

You can ask TESDA kung meron sila class on detailing. Alam ko automotive training meron sila.

You can also go online and watch seminar videos like this one from Autogeek: The Curse of Success with Renny Doyle at Autogeek's 9th Annual Detail Fest, or better yet, invest by buying the DVDs and books on detailing from Autogeek.

For the business side of starting a negosyo, mag-take ka ng short course on entrepreneurship.

Got another detailing tool. This is a universal pad holder for clay pad/polishing pad/waxing pad. Adjustable velcro hand strap. Velcro back for attaching 5" to 6" pads.

Meron ako nyan naka tingga lang. Di ako satisfied sa performance plus ang hirap maghanap ng spare consumables. Yung iba owner modified that to Velcro attachment to accommodate popular pads in the market.

Meron din ako nyan and kung pang apply lang ng liquid wax pwede na yan, i never really tried using it for polishing since hindi adjustable ang speed (parang masyado din mababa rpm). Pero meron na siguro nag try mag polish using an orbital, antayan na lang natin input nila.

Effective ba talaga ang Nano4Life na paint and glass protection? At talaga bang 12 months saka mag reapply? Thanks

If for personal use ok na sya, was supposed to buy that before, but opted for griots instead. Good reviews naman sya, not sure lang sa durability, ginnova is using and selling shinemate also, maybe he can give a more accurate feedback, napag usapan lang namin dati ay yung katapat ng rupes and so far happy sya sa performance ng shinemate.
