Thank you red_one.
Check out ko yung drill kit.
Pero kung ang purpose ko lang pakintabin yung car. Ok na ba yung low power?
Nabasa ko somewhere na pwede ko daw ma tanggal yung clear coat and paint kung di marunong gumamit ng high power na polisher.

Thank you sir. Same ba sya ng Meguires drill kit na dual action?
They are similar but not exactly the same. Both attaches to electric drill.
Meg's DA system is dual-action, 4" in diameter and comes with 1pc 4" regular flat foam pad. It is more expensive at US$59.99. You need to spend more to buy additional pads. Compounding pad costs US$13.99 per set. Polishing pad costs US$13.99 per set. Waxing pad costs US$13.99 per set.
The other drill kit is 5" in diameter and comes with 3pc Hex-logic pads: 1 for compounding, 1 for polishing and 1 for waxing. No need to buy additional pads upfront. It is not dual-action but no worries, just control the speed of your electric drill. Use low speed while learning to use the kit and adjust later on pag sanay ka na.

That is only true if you are using high power, rotary buffers na designed for professional use. Tapos you just keep the tool in one place. For sure, sunog ang paint mo.
Re: low power polisher. If purpose mo lang is pakintabin ang car, then okay sila gamitin. But later on, when you want to remove scratches, remove water marks, remove swirl marks, polish glass, restore headlight lens, then you need to invest on another tool.
Re: DA action polisher. Good to have if you detail your car often, like monthly or own several cars. Pricey nga lang sila. China-brand DA polisher already costs P7,500 with 1pc 6" regular flat foam pad. The better brands (Meg's, Porter Cable, Griots Garage) costs more than P12,000 locally and 110V pa sila. Need transformer to use them.
for drill adapter kits , use them with caution specially if your using high speed drills. you can easily burn paint . most drills have max 3000rpm. At these speeds it will only take a few seconds for the paint to get burned.
Re: drill adaptors. With the right knowledge, there is nothing to be scared about.
1. Use the CORRECT pad. Example, the black Hex-Logic pad is a super fine finishing pad that has NO CUT. You can use it safely for WAXING.
2. Use LOW speed while learning to use the kit and use LIGHT pressure. You can increase the speed and pressure once sanay ka na. You just need low speed for waxing anyway.
3. Keep the tool moving. DO NOT keep it in one place. Specially true when COMPOUNDING using cutting pads.

My new tool - 6" Clay Pad. Para mas mabilis magtanggal ng embedded contaminants, watermarks, etc. Can be used over 60 times. Just rinse with water to clean the pad. For hand use or machine use (DA polisher or drill kit).

Detailing gurus kakabili ko lang ng makita na buffing machine gusto ko kasi matuto. Pag papractisan ko yung luma Kong oto maraming gasgas para di ako manghinayang if masunog o madamage ang paint. Practice muna bago ko ipa washover.
Question lang, anong magandang product ang gagamitin?
Ok ba ang microtex nanofil to nanosliq?
Or mag mothers nalang ako step1 to step3?
Ito lang kasi available dito sa province thanks
Hello,
Meron akong 1yr old HB Mirage, madami ng swirls sa hood at ibang panels. According to my suking auto shop, kaya daw matangal yung ng "buffing". Paano po itong detailing process na buffing? Liliha-in daw then buffing then apply ng wax, recommended ba ito? Mura ng quote sakin eh, 1.5k php lang.
Thanks,
famousa
^ Thanks for the advice. What would be the best solution for these swirl marks?
bring your car to a reputable detailing shop. check out detailing shop review thread. to minimize swirl marks if you are washing your own car, learn proper washing by using 2 buckets method. check out the 1st pages of tamang OC thread. avoid makeshift car wash shops along the road and the ones washing in mall parking areas.
Love the finish from my fave shop in town(25km away)
1. Rinse
2. Foam
3. Soak
4. Wash
5. Rinse
6. Rapid detailer(brought my own)(lessens the risk of swirls)
7. Chamois dry (they glide instead of palm dry) surprisingly no streaks.
8. Glass microfiber for the glass(love this service)
300 peso equivalent.
