sir sa experience ko silver pinakamadali i-maintain. di masyado halata mga water marks at alikabok, kahit ung mga micro scratches/swirls kailangan mo talaga titigan bago mo makita.

Hardest is non-metallic black - every single scratch and blemish can easily be seen, as well as any dust or dirt on the car. Easiest, as mentioned, is light metallic silver, where it's really difficult to see swirls or scratches, and dust blends in with the color of the car.

Generally, are all wax and polish products applicable to all car paint color? The reason I ask this is that I saw some products like Mothers and Meguairs that have waxes that are exclusive for black color paint car (correct me if im wrong as i have only seen the label).

    Follow-up question on carnauba wax:

How often do you apply carnauba wax in your car? and does carnauba wax "thins" your car paint? may negative or side effects ba in applying this type of wax? TIA.

Sir, am no expert, but have been reading (and buying) a lot on detailing products. The carnauba waxes do not thin the paint. The products that thin the paint are those with abrasives, like compounds and polishes. So no side effects in applying carnauba waxes. There a also "Carnauba cleaner waxes" and these supposedly clean and wax the paint at the same time, you can check the label if it has abrasives.

A very good guide is the posted thread at the top of this section: "Tamang OC lang...", this is what started me in giving the proper care to our cars. And then I also joined pinoydetailing.com...and then after a few thousand pesos, our car is a little shinier, with a little less scratches and swirl marks. And I've been enjoying myself learning how to do it. I know you will too...

Sir Umi, I hope I get same result when I apply Microtex NanoGlos to my car.

Is 'waterless car wash' synonymous to spray wax or quick detailer?

I'll be honest, I've not had much experience with Nanoglos. I have used it two or three times, but the last time was back during the summer, and I never saw it rained on. That said, you will get beading with it, but I don't know if it'll be as good as what I showed you - that was with Dodo Juice Supernatural Hybrid wax on the car, and it's got the best beading properties I've seen among the products I've used to date (the Collinite waxes come close, but I felt that the SNH beading was just that bit better).

    A little different.

QD: For light cleaning (minor dust, finger prints and smudges); usually also adds gloss and slickness, but very little (if any) protection
spray wax: Should only be used on a clean surface; adds some protection, and hence also some gloss and slickness
waterless wash: For light to medium cleaning (heavier dust, light water/rain marks); may add some gloss and slickness, usually doesn't add any protection (though Meguiar's new Ultimate Wash and Wax Anywhere will be an exception).
