476s vs Moms Step 3 ( i know Step 3 will lose here in terms of durability... i just wanna know though how step 3 will measure up, like if 476s can provide protection for a week or 2, how abt step 3? Also, how does Step 3 compare in terms of shine, beading, etc...)
step 3 can provide protection until it gets rained on. I tried this. yung bumpers ko, linagyan ko ng step 3, the rest, 476. In terms of shine, wala masyadong pagkakalayo, especially kung may step2 sila parehas underneath.

pero after nung next wash ko, wala nang beading sa bumpers.

hmmm.. oo nga. I still have step 2, but mas maganda ba ang nanoglos for filling in defects?

*madkatz: thanks for the information, ma'am! Another query... do I have to wait a couple of hours after applying step 2 before putting the 476?

    thanks mam.

sir edwin did demo'ed a no. of the products at the eb and i learned how to use them immediately, however i got very confused of the names of the products.

anyways, my dad think she saw a Makita rotary buffer on sale for 9.5k(converted from BhD) at Geant(something like a really big Puregold there), is it a good buy? mura na ata yun, kase sabi ni sir edwin po nasa 12k-15k locally ang Makita. and im planning to buy the detailling products mam abroad(Bahrain) if its available and cheaper there.

    thanks again mam madkatz .

For both you need to use a MF cloth, for the vaporwax i haven't really used it that well to comment too much on it since i basically used it only once and its damn expensive to worth risk buying one top that with pretty bad reviews from most of the detailing forums the world over, but what we did was just use the aerosol spray to mist a little and let it dry for the cure time and remove it via MF cloth, Nano Sliq works pretty much the same without the wait. As for the Nano Glos, Nano Glos for me fills better and looks better, it doesn't always mean that if a wax is harder to remove that its more durable especially if its from TW, the only wax from TW i use are TW Platinum Paste and TW Black Box.

Easy to apply but durable for me would be, Liquid Glass Legend, Chemical Guys M-seal, or Chemical Guys Jet-seal, Jeff Werkstat Acrylic protector. Some products that can be also equally good but requires proper technique would be KSG and Collinite 476
Thank you very much! well said...good thing you mentioned Collinite 476s, because I just bought it, because it is now on sale at 50% off from AutoBisyo (and good reviews of course) ... it seems if you are after long-lasting protection and not gloss or shine, then go for industrial strength waxes/sealants, not OTC stuff...am I right?

Another question po sana...ano po maire-recommend niyong brand na pantanggal ng mga talsik ng spalto sa paint? Yung iba kasi kerosene lang ginagamit, hindi kaya matapang masyado to para sa paint?

Step 3 when well maintained can last up to 2 weeks during rainy season, however what doc said is true that the water beading is drastically reduced after the initial wash, Step 3 doesn't really seem to fare well against soap and detergents unlike its collinite rivals, as for gloss i would say that Step 3 fares better in terms of gloss for me if used as a stand alone product.

for me the difference between both is that Step 2 looks a little better but fills less swirls and doesn't offer any protection, Nano Glos for me fills more swirls than Step 2 and lasts longer before again revealing the swirls, but is harder to apply at times

No you don't need to wait to apply 476 after step 2, just be sure to buffed the area really clean and that you have thoroughly removed any visible remains of step 2.

Hi, that is cheap if its just 9.5k, although Makita's are known to last pretty much like forever for the weekend detailer, for me and my BF we always factor in the service warranty which are only available if you legally bought your Makita here, basically the scenario is that there is only one distributor of Makita here in our country and they have a list of serial number that they officially sold here, so if the Makita you bought is in the list then you are entitled for the lifetime service warranty meaning you only have to pay for parts, however if you bought your Makita from elsewhere or if you got them from the black market, or from those stolen from customs then you won't have the service warranty.

Hahaha well you could always have the same correction from a rotary with a PC it just takes 2 to 4 times longer but the good thing is its pretty much noob friendly.

And yeah up with this one, there are a lot of fake Makita's going around the market, i personally saw one thats fake and honestly? it actually looks better than the original hahaha thats why its best to stick to someone you know if you have a good source for the Makita, another thing you will notice is that the fake Makita jitters and jumps more and of course the sound is different its a lot noisier than the original, the cable is also a little thinner, also beware of those selling Makita's 9227c's with cases, i dunno why but my friend told me to check out the store properly before buying those with cases since the sole distributor only released less than 100 pcs of them and they're basically everywhere until now

hi, well so far the contact person we have there said there's only a few more spaces left since we'll be sharing the box, for the 32oz i guess it would go for about 3.5k to 4k for 1 32 oz of each 105 and 205? we didn't reach the quota for free shipping from florida to california so its an added expense but i also can't find anymore items that i need from their site.

well industrial strength waxes/sealants is not the right term if you ask me, see basically we classify them as specialty waxes, and under specialty waxes there's show shine waxes like souveran and p21s, theres beading and protection waxes like collinite, FK HT wax, and clearkote moose wax. And of course there's also the boutique waxes which is basically like all of the above combined into one like swissvax and AG HD wax, but these are damn expensive already since a 150g tub of AG HD wax is already 6500 pesos and the swissvax i have that i saved for costed me 12k for 1 tub.

Hi. Nakalimutan ko na yung name ng store. Nahilo ako kakaikot sa sta cruz looking for cheap leaf blower. Didn't have an idea na mura na pala yung price na yun for a 9227. Anyway, i'll try to look for it again. I'm planning to get one. Time consuming kasi ang NanoG+double476+915,e. Ubos buong weekend ko.

I see...thanks for the info. I'm getting lots of good insights from this forum. I am one of those who are after total protection and not gloss, so that my car will last a bit longer and so far I'm getting some nice info how to do that, not to mention speed of reply
