BTW. Sino nga pala may Microtex Elite drying towel? Maganda ba? Walang naiiwang trail ng tubig pag nag dry ng oto? I'm planning to buy one kasi soon. Pwede kasing makatanggal ng wax ang chamois accdg. to sir edwin.

    Do's
    1. Make sure the car is clean before waxing.
    2. Do not Wash and Wax in direct sunlight.
    3. Always use clean detailing materials.
    4. Apply wax per panel to avoid having a hard time removing the wax.
    5. And read the whole detailing thread
    Don'ts
    1. Opposite of above.

For the right time in removing wax, use the "finger swipe" test. Just swipe your finger and if the wax is already dry, you can buff it off immediately.
Ah, I guess I'll stick with the Mother's na lang. Thanks for those tips ulit man, I hope I do everything correctly. And yes, I'm in the process of reading this whole thread! Haha lalo ako naeexcite tuloy.

Thanks for the invite Miss. I just hope that we'll be back here by that time.

Collinite is available locally, if you are attending the upcoming detail seminar you might be able to buy some from my BF which is an authorized reseller, or the actual distributor might also be there, we're hoping to get either the distributor of Microtex or Collinite to be there and hopefully help us with the seminar.

As for the do's and don'ts i'll see if i have enough energy to do a write up, im drained from teaching my little brother how to swim.
Oh, that just gives me another reason to go to this seminar. Would Collinite be better than Step3? Or is there any 'best' wax for a specific color? BTW, this is really really very kind of you, sharing your time, and knowledge of course, with us for this seminar. You must really love tsikot. : D

Para san ba yan bro? Kailangan ba yan gawin bago ako mag-wax ngayon? Anung brands kaya ok?

Right now eto na un bilbilin ko, un pinost mo

    When washing = Wash Mitt
When drying = Drying towel or Good-quality Chamois
When applying wax = Applicator pad (Example brands are SM Arnolds, Micromagic, Meguiars)
When Buffing off wax = Plush Microfiber Towel (Example is the Microtex Plush/Ultra Plush)

Hey thanks ulit guys for entertaining my scupid questions.
Now I'm all fired up.. can't wait to get a hold of these things.

'Ung application ba nun sabay sabay palagi? Or ung Step 2 and 3 lang 'ung weekly or ibang combination? Ah ok lang ba na 2 layers ng wax? Step3 + Collinite?

    Thanks bro

PS would i still need to buy a car shampoo kahit gawin ko moms 3steps?

i have the megs version, yung water magnet. Ok naman, pagmay wax pa yung car you can use the towel for drying the whole car. although yung windows i use chamois. mas ok pa din pangdry ang chamois kung ang concern mo talaga drying lang.

Collinite 915 = Makintab. Durable. Beads water. Combination siya ng kintab and protection.
Collinite 476 = Less kintab than 915. Beads water a little better than 915. Slightly more durable than 915. Cheaper than 915.

I see. Medyo nag-aalangan lang kasi ako sa chamois kasi may trail pa ng tubig na naiiwan and there's a bigger chance na maka strip off siya ng wax.

No, magkaiba sila nung step 1 cleaner. May slight abrasive yun. Yung carnauba cleaner wax wala. Paint cleaner & carnauba wax combined sya.

    ganito gawin mo:
    weekly: Step 2 + Step 3
monthly:Mothers Carnauba Cleaner Wax + Step 2 + Collinite Sapphire Auto wax (pang white yan).

    Eto pampa inspire

Parang mas madali ma spread yung collinite 915 ngayong tag lamig. Nag wax ako kanina and naikot ko yung buong car bago ko i buff off and madali natanggal yung 915

by the way, these are all i have (as of yet) for detailing: mothers carnauba cleaner wax, microtex plush (pink?), microtex terry towel (orange), microtex chamois, microtex nanoglos, and microtex nanosliq. planning to buy collinite 915 and/or 476 (na-enganyo ako sa inyo) kasi ang kikintab ng mga rides nyo! should i also buy mothers 3-step system and megs swirlX? balak din bumili ng black and decker wp1300 or makita (but expensive). my truck's color is dupont dark blue metallic. help! hirap magpakintab kasi dami na watermarks, first time ko i-wax (3yrs after repainting it) about a month ago. ang hirap din pla handwax appli and buffing kaya parang gusto ko laging may machine na gamit na lang. i guess ngayon ay kelangan i-detail (ippadetail ko sana sa bigberts kaso parang napakamahal e) na talaga using a machine polisher.
