Kailangan ko po ba magclay or Mothers step 1 or swirlx or something? I have a 5-month old black car, and since it's Honda natatakot ako maubos agad paint ko pag kinorek ko agad ung watermarks kaya pinabayaan ko muna dati. Ano po pwede ko gawing DIY. Thanks!

*mj09: you could try either Mothers or Megs Step 1 first, if this does the trick in removing the stains then your next step would be applying a wax, that or if you want to improve the gloss you could get their step 2 as well, you don't have to get the step 3 as the final wax, you could get other waxes you prefer or use what you have on hand but it would be great to get Step 3 since they are formulated to work together as a 3 step system. If Step 1 doesn't remove the water mark stains, you might have to get a real polish for that, so you might need SwirlX or Mothers Scratches Remover, both are great in polishing the paint and removing certain defects and stains. If this step still doesn't do the trick then you might need to machine polish it, or worse it might mean compounding, And then after that be sure to apply a durable wax during the rainy season to avoid getting them back again.

Hey guys, i've been one of the fortunate people to test two new Microtex Products, i have to buy it though so its not free hehe, Its launching is hopefully around April.

Its their QD/Spray wax. Its more of a QD though based on how i tested it, its has cleaners that easily removes above paint stains. Its very slick, and although its not stated, its nice to be used a clay lubricant, doesn't let the clay stick as much. It makes paint a little darker, so it gives the optical illusion that it fills certain scratches. The owner/developer told me it can be used on clear plastics, which does make it look better, i guess its because of the cleaners. The reason why it could also be considered as a spray wax is because it can boost the Nano Glos' durability once applied after washing, so basically its a spray wax as well. I haven't tried if the same can be said about other waxes though. Bottomline this is a nice QD/Spray wax, its a versatile product and its finish is much like those more prominent OTC QD's.

Here's a shot i took on my BF's black innova ( we have the exact same car BTW ), he was too lazy to polish it so it still had swirls, and it was the perfect test car to check its claims

The shot below was a bare paint panel, washed with Dawn and the wiped down with 50/50 IPA and water solution. Left side wiped with Nano SliQ.

    Next up is their wax

The owner said it has some cleaners but its not abrasive. The label says it contains polishing powders which was termed by the owner as the Nanotech scrubs that clean the paint deep inside the scratches. It has excellent filling capabilities. Its more of a deep look rather than a reflective shine. One thing i noticed is that its good for metallics and for dark cars because of its darkening effect. I noticed that it does not contain that much oils as compared to other liquid waxes so applying it is easy for the first part but as time goes by it dries pretty quickly. Im still not sure if its a pure carnauba wax or a synthetic wax or a wax and sealant, but the owner said it does contain carnauba wax. Its smell is reminiscent of a dishwashing paste scent although its not invasing on the the nose. I noticed that it has a longer drying time as compared to other waxes, and that if you remove it too early and you wipe it off, you would get some light hazing a few minutes after so its definitely worth waiting for the drying time, also removing the wax it some cases was a little harder as compared to some OTC. As i said it has a deep look but it goes pretty well with Nano SliQ after waxing, I guess Nano SliQ adds and improves the shine even more.

Same method of cleaning the paint, Dawn and 50/50 IPA wipedown. I looked for a badly swirled area to check and test if the owners claim that it could fill better than most OTC products were true since i was a bit skeptic.

Here is the bare paint picture, i chose the left part since it has more swirls.

I then taped it with masking tape.

    Applied the wax

Removed the wax using Microtex Ultra Plush.

I then spritz some Nano SliQ to improve the gloss

And then finally i also applied wax to the right side.

Im am not promoting or advertising any products okay? im just sharing my reviews on the product.

Overall, Microtex has developed a good product here, good enough that it could already compete with some OTC products out there especially the lower end waxes. As for the higher end OTC waxes, i guess you'll just have to try it out yourself and see for yourself since i still haven't tested it against other waxes thoroughly. But in certain categories im sure it can stand toe to toe. The proposed SRP is also made affordable since you can avail it in sachet form, as for the 500ml bottle from my point of view it is affordable, its definitely worth waiting and testing.

Im also planning on doing a wax Battle Royale.

Im limiting it to all local OTC waxes only though, since if i get all my waxes that would be around 60+ waxes and using imported waxes would be a waste since its not available locally. Its gonna take a few more months though, i still need to look for a large enough test panel.

    From Mothers

    Mothers Step 3
    Mothers Reflections Advance Car Wax
    Mothers Fx

    From Megs

    Megs NXT
    Megs Gold Class
    Megs #26
    Megs Step 3

    From Turtle Wax

    TW Super Hardshell
    TW Platinum Ultra Gloss
    TW Ice
    TW F21 Car polish
TW Black Box (optional, but it bias since it only for black cars so i might remove it)

    Adams Buttery Wax
    Formula 1 Car Wax
    Waxco Car Wax
    3m Show Car Liquid Wax
Microtex Nano GloS (i might add this since its coming next month since i also want to test it against other waxes)

For other brands that are locally available but not OTC, i might include it on the second test including

    Collinite 845
    Collinite 476
    Collinite 915
    Collinite Liquid Sapphire
Formula J211 ( the so called first filipino developed wax )
    21st Element C2S Concours
    Blackmagic Wet Shine Liquid Wax
    Dupont Carnuaba Wax

Any brands im missing? pls help me out i can't remember if im missing an OTC product. I didn't include cleaner waxes also. Im also open to other suggestions, I might also remove some products on the top list if it doesn't even perform well. Either that or I just might compare the top waxes of the top brands if i don't get enough paint panels, and in the case i can only do 10 waxes, what are your top 10 choices? any suggestions?

Hey those are great products from Microtex! Ang bilis nilang mag-innovate from selling MF towels and washmitts, ngayon waxes na.. Kudos to the owner

I'm really excited on your Battle Royale of OTC waxes hehe.. That way we readers of this thread can select the proper waxes for our cars..

BTW, kung ikaw tatanungin, what would you recommend or rather what is the best QD for our car? (marroon vios) Microtex NanoSLIQ or TW Platinum? Does Microtex SLIQ fill swirls more and does it give a deeper, more reflective shine than TW Platinum QD?

Is NanoSLIQ QD completely safe for the paint? How about the NanoGLOS? What I mean by "completely safe for the paint" is wala ba siyang cleaners or anything na nakaka-reduce ng clearcoat?

Sorry for the many questions. I'm just as excited as you are on trying these new products! Hehe

*chickselog: Haha i was surprised that the new products were great, and yes coming from just MF's to waxes and end user materials is a great jump. Sadly though i wanted him to continue creating new products for auto detailing but he said he needed a huge break from all the RnD he did, and he is only concentrating on OTC products for the average consumer so he might not venture into polishes and abrasives, how i would love a cheap alternative for a nano technology polish. When i went to his place there were a lot of great stuffs he had, he has a glass scrub that could polish glass with very minimal effort, again using nano technology, its like a nano tech glass scrub and a lot more.

As for the battle royale, im still waiting for my hood panel to be brought back and repainted, im after a really uniform paint panel to test the products, but with all the waxes i mentioned it would take more than 5 hoods to accomodate proper testing. So i might just end up using the more popular ones.

As for the Microtex and TW question, my only answer would be to try it yourself. I could meet you somewhere and have you test the product, im still now allowed to sell my existing sample but the owner didn't mention i couldn't have other people test it hehe. And besides im helping the owner in conducting a thorough honest and fair review of their products so its only reasonable that getting outside opinion would also matter.

With the Nano SliQ and Nano GloS, the owner reassured me there are no abrasives in them, The NanoGloS just have Nano Polish Powders that are not abrasive but they function more as a scrub for removing dirt inside those microscopic scratches and the Polish Powders also help in filling them.

If you're excited then, send me a pm and i'll try to arrange a meet up somewhere so you could try it or i could give you a sample. So far me and my friends have been conducting detail sessions at my BF's place in Caloocan since its already set up for detailing.

    thanks po madkatz and jmpet626!

quick follow-up question lang po. regarding the watermarks parin, aside from step1, swirlx or mothers scratch remover, pwede rin po ba ung 3M scratch remover or maybe 3M IHG or walang kwenta yung mga yun? kasi may saches ung 3M products eh nakakapanghinayang kasi kung bibili ako ng bottle ng megs or mothers tapos di rin pala uubra. Nga pala, wax ko po is TW Platinum liquid pero im planning of getting Mothers step 3 sometime. Wala pa kasi ako alam sa detaling so sa TW muna ko nagstart.

And another thing, yun po bang megs swirlx how many times a year lang advisable gamitin? Thanks po mga experts!

Di pwede yung IHG. Pwede nyo muna try yung 3m na scratch remover pag di kinaya switch to megs. Try nyo sir yung collinite 845 mas ok kesa sa step 3 ng mothers. Mas mahal lang ng konti pero mas matagal mawala yung 845 compared sa mothers and mas water repellant sya. Meron sa Bigberts around 1k.

A follow-up question nga pala.. When you tested the NanoGLOS Wax, did you apply it by hand or by machine?
