Public transport groups? I won't be surprised.Balita ko rin marami na nagrereklamo.

so ano ang mga kailangan palitan to change from R12 to R134? we've got two pre-1999 cars here...
yeah, what are the A/C parts na kelangan palitan to upgrade to r134a?

“These are among measures we will undertake to ensure phase-out in the country of CFC by 2010,” paliwanag ni Elvira Pausing, head ng National CFC Phase-out Plan (NCPP) Project Management Unit sa ilalim ng Philippine Ozone Desk ng Department of Environment and Natural Resources-Environment Management Bureau (DENR-EMB).
“So vehicle owners must switch to air conditioning system using hydrofluorocarbon (HFC) instead for LTO to register their vehicles,” dagdag pa niya.
“This is mainly because CFC material service shops use when repairing such system is over three times cheaper than HFC,” esplika niya.
uh huh ang tanong dyan tatagal ba implementation nyan, e emissions testing nga puro peke na e hahaha

IMO, if the government wants to abide by the Montreal Protocol, then it must focus on banning the importation of R12 refrigerants and allowing for lower or no taxes on the R134A. This would significantly raise the cost for maintaining R12 systems, forcing people to migrate to R134A. At current prices, maintaining R12 aircon systems is still much cheaper than R134A.
Mga dudes, pinost na po ni Zeagle, the compressor itself doesn't need to be replaced.
Tama si Otep.
I don't known whos to blame for this misunderstanding, if the reporters or the LTO. they show their ignorance of what they are saying. The airconditioning industries are very well ahead of this Montreal protocol specially in automotive. In the Phil, car makers use already R 134a since 1994 and yet the govt do not know that. They will not allow the 1999 model and below to be register, that's will be again a another source of corruption and big hazzle to car owners. I ageed with OTEP that the best time to switch from R12 to R134a is when your A/C is due to for maintenance or repair problem, not just because to get your car registered
nalalagyan yan!
anyways. i had mang mario fill my aircon w r134 already on a r12 system. pwede daw. it works....so far
just talked to mang mario.
according to him, all you need to replace is the dryer and the compressor oil. mga 2000 daw.
well i was specifically asking about a mazda 323 BG (gen 1 or "box type") although he specifically said:
1) "guni-guni" lang daw ang R-134 requirement ng LTO;
2) basically what is replaced in the conversion is the dryer valve only; the R-12 compressor is used.
he also denied that the cooling efficiency is much reduced.
i suspect it is, since it uses the same old piping, evaporator, condenser, compressor... but this is mang mario. i'm inclined to believe him. besides it's a cheap fix if you're really eco-conscious.
How much would it cost me to convert from R12 to R134a.
do i need to replace every single parts? Compressor, evaporator, condenser?![]()
