Madaming retrofit kits na available. Please check the net.

"FREON" is the marketing name for R12.

There is no such thing as R134a Freon. Just to avoid confusion lang po mga bossing.

Wala atang market name ang R134a.

Sinabi bang R134a? Kaya ayun, naglipana ang mga fly by night a/c conversion shops. Kaya ayun, KABOOM!

If the government is serious and follows the clean air act, they (LTO)should start phasing out old vehicles..say 1984 down. Jeepneys and buses should also be able to pass the REAL emission tests. Also, the Aircon repair shops too. Puro dakdak palpak naman!

    Yes, R12 is harmful.

But forcing all of us to vent our R12 into the atmosphere (to switch to R134a) is MORE harmful.

Can't they just ban the sale of these these things and wait for the R12 systems to conk out? R12 systems don't pollute the environment as long as they are running in a closed system. By forcing us to vent R12, laking trouble nito.
