    I totally disagree with this as far as heat resistance is concerned

    But then again brackish water has a way to weaken metal structure with corrosion

    Ill still put my money on a metal cap (corroded or not) rather than a plastic one due to the function of a radiator, absorb and dissipate heat generated by the engine combustion process
