They did a 3 series na dati. AFAIK, if butas ang evaporator, tanggal buong dashboard (like Volvo850 and MB100). And medyo complex lang daw ay yung controls. Pero kung yung mechanical parts, no problem sa kanila.

Old school 7 series nagawa na din nila. Pati yung four eyes na E-Class.

meron kayong mairerecommend na aircon repair shop within manila, gusto ko sana magpagawa kay mang mario pero medyo malayo samin at la kasing time pumunta sa malayo Thanks.

i know this is a bit late, but ngayon lang ako nag ka time to register and make my testimony regarding mang mario's a/c service.

went there mga 6:45am on april 29th (saturday), and to my surprise.. pang 5th na ako sa line... mga 4 years na rin kasi di gumagana yung aircon nung auto (lancer gti 92 singkit), and sabi ng bro in law ko na dati gumagamit nun, dapat na daw palitan ang compressor... so they checked kung ok pa yung compressor (kinalas kasi before yung belt nung nasira dati yung compressor, kaya kinabit nila muna), medyo may tumutunog, so palit outer bearing... nung binaklas, sabi ko, pasama na rin ng cleaning, and sabi kailangan na din daw palitan ang dryer... so before mag lunch, nakabit na ulit lahat, kabit compressor, lagay r134a freon.. nung pag test, medyo hirap ang makina (kung di aapakan ang gas, mamatay).. sabi may sira din inner bearing, so baklas na lang ulit, tapos naabutan pa ako ng lunchtime, and isa pa, naubusan sila ng freon... sinabi ko na lang na palitan na lang ng brand new compressor (gahol na kasi sa oras, and i have to go back to our home, baby shower kasi ni misis), so nagpabili ng bagong sanden sd-05 series (ang luma ko is a TRF 090).. after ng lunch, mga 1pm, kinabit na yung bagong compressor, and tamang tama, dumating yung tanke nila ng freon.. mga 2:30pm, tinest na namin.. ayun, lamig na ng auto..

ang medyo di lang ako komportable is yung alignment ng belt ng compressor papuntang makina.. medyo di sakto (tantya ko, width ng isang washer ang kailangan i machine sa isang side para sakto).. pero all in all, very satisfied ako sa naging result. kahit sobrang init ng araw and walang tint yung auto, malamig pa rin sa loob.... yun nga lang, amoy joy ultra yung blow ng hangin at first, kasi joy ultra lemon ang ginagamit nila panlinis ng evaporator and fan (first time ata ito nalinis since binili nung 1992)..

btw, 10.5k ang nagastos ko nung nag punta ako dun... as i've said, brand new na compressor, replacement na dryer, cleaning and charging ng freon... ok na yun kesa dun sa nag quote sa bro in law ko na 16k+ for conversion ng freon and brand new na compressor.. medyo di lang ok dun is sobrang dami ng tao, and syempre, uunahin nila yung mga madaling gawin..

The car's engine dies when I turn on the Aircon. This happened kanina when It was so traffic. I was stalled in bumper to bumper traffic for about 2 hours.

Pag naka-off ang aircon, ok na ang takbo ng car, but when buksan ko ang AC switch ng compressor, parang may mali sa tunog and namamatay ang engine.

What is this? the compressor carries an extra load to the belt and nag-stall ang engine? Bearing? An idle sensor?

Baka durog na yung loob ng compressor, hirap na umikot naka attached yan sa engine via belt matay/pangit idling/matay engine mo talaga. Same thing happend to me 2 weeks ago.

That happened to our service Canter sa UST. Ang culprit ay durog na pulley bearings para dun sa a/c comp.

Thanks guys. Tama kayo. Siraa na nga yung mga piston sa loob. may mga tama na lahat. Not repairable anymore.

As of now. The car is still with him. Nag overnight doon sa garage nya since di natapos the whole day. They started only about 11:00a.m. since may nauna pa sa akin.

I hope everything works fine and I hope MURA lang lumabas ang gastos.

Masarap nga kausap si MM. May pa merienda pa si MM na "razons" halo halo. Saba con yelo.

Yes, mahal nga ang compressor ng mga newer cars ngayon.

BTW. ALL compressors are Japan or Korean made. GERMANY, ITALY etc..or any euro country do not produce compressors. Even Bosch does not make compressors. If ever you see one not made in japan,(for ex. York) it was just sub-contracted and re-badged but still made in ASIA.

The sad part of an ASTRA compressor is that it uses a KOREAN made compressor. It is prone to break down earlier than usual. I have talked with numerous ASTRA owners with problems with their compressors as also witnessed in our OPEL CLUB forums.

My Zafira uses a different OEM compressor than the ASTRA since mine has a dual aircon. It uses a DENSO compressor (made in Japan) identical to the one used by new Mercedes Benz cars. But still, it is not immune to being broken.

Kaya if you still have the original compressor for your astra, ingatan nyo. Have it greased. Change the drier and have a system clean.

The OEM Astra compressor cost P28,000 - P32,000!!!

Dami kong nakikitang mga remanufactured at replacement a/c compressors for European cars dun sa mga online auto parts stores. Prone ba talagang masira? O baka dahil mahal ang OEM.

Nung pinalitan compressor ko, Opel Vectra kasabay ko. Kulay talong na hindi na masyado makinis. Evaporator naman ang sira.

CLEANLINESS
I was satisfied naman. Contrary to what people said. They cleaned the car's interior before giving the car to me. They were using wipe-out to remove grease from the interior since tinaggal yung trim panels to access the rear aircon blowers.
Maingat naman but still, I found a few screws that they forgot to put back. Just found them on the floor. (I know they were mine since it was the Flower type screws specific for Opel cars only)

PRICE
The price is just right in relation to the shop. Going there is really a cultural experience though. I really had no idea if it was cheap or expensive since di ako nag-canvass sa iba.

FRIENDLINESS
Mabait sila if you are also nice to them. There were rude customers there too so in effect, hinuli sila sa pila. hehe. Mabait and ma P.R. ako, so sa loob ang car ko with the tent and shade and Mr. Mario did the job himself to my car. I even have free merienda.

All I can say is that my aircon is cold again. Hopefully, no back jobs soon.

Minsan may mga details din na nakakalimutan sakin. Kaya I just help them reassemble afterwards. Though nothing major naman, usually mga reduntant/reinforcing screws lang yung naiiwan and naibabalik ko din when I get home.

Yup, nagpalit ako ng compressor. It was a conversion from a compressor from another car with a similar bracket and fittings.

Yun lang nga, balik ako tomorrow since parang may singaw ang freon. Maingay and may hissing sound sa loob ng car pag turn on ng compressor. Nawala na din ang lamig ng aircon. Nag overnight lang.

The Hissing sound (Hsssssssssss.) is very annoying. Nakakahilo tuloy sa loob ng kotse since maingay talaga. I hope my aircon comes back to normal again. Sana magawa ng mabuti ni Mr MM.

might go there the weekend after payday. my car (honda civic 98 vti) started having problems with the aircon (sabi nung nagtingin).

napansin ko kasi, when turning on the aircon, hirap umarangkada yung kotse. when i turn it off, malakas na ang hatak. there is also this annoying sound coming from the hood pag naka-on ang aircon. pag walang aircon, silent naman. nung sinilip ko hood, yung parang metal part sa tabi ng belt ng compressor parang di umiikot ng tuloy tuloy and it's the one making the noise.

pinatingin ko, sabi compressor nga daw. pinasingaw nila at tinanggal muna compressor (it's in my trunk now) and i'm using the car naka-blower lang and windows down (damn ang dumi talaga ng hangin sa manila).

is there any danger with that? sabi wag lang daw uulan at papasukin ng tubig (although nilagyan nila ng electrical tape yung mga hose). mga magkano kaya ang surplus compressor nina mang mario? sana marerepair pa compressor ko para mas mura gastos. free na ba pagkarga ng freon(?)? i can't seem to find mang mario's number dito sa thread.

For a Pajero (Denso compressor), a surplus replacement's SRP is Php 5,900.00. That includes the standard parts, labor, and materials necessary to install.
