Nasa 6-6.5K daw according to Solargard Santolan.

I finally got my tint installed at Solarguard in Santolan. I was there last Monday at 8:30.. store opened a few minutes after. Store was able to attend to 2 customers inside their area at a time.

I had the windshield and 2 front windows tint changed. I used the "Magic" kind of tint that the lady said has about 50% reduction in heat. Visibility is great, specially at night.

The installers were fast and efficient. done in an hour and as far as I can see installation was flawless. may 5 years warranty pa.

    Cost me 3.5k since I used a cc....good deal...

Thanks for the pix TomE. I'm going for the black/flat black look, so your pix and feedback have gotten me hooked. Let's see when I can get this done.

Passed by their Santolan branch this afternoon para lang malaman ko kung saan exactly sila located.

Their aircon tinting room can easily accommodate 2 cars, tapos may parking slots din sila sa labas. Ayos, sana makapag-patint na before pa mag-expire yung 10% discount voucher ko from MIAS.

M Paterno, Pasadena and Santolan. Across Wheel Gallery. Medyo recessed ang frontage ng shop nila pero may malaking sign naman.

Finally had the time to have the car's tint replaced. I asked for all sides to be replaced with charcoal 13. Let me chip in with my first day with the product.

Shade doesn't differ much from the previous 3m FX-ST 20 but the heat rejection is there, Morning at 8 am, you'd feel something prickling your arm with the 3m tint. 10 am with the solargard, the heat is there but barely noticeable. Haven't tried (and probably never will) leaving the car under the sun, but travelling at 1 pm, heat from the windows is much much more bearable.

Although it feels like there are certain situations when the passenger's silhouttes can be seen easily. I also noticed that the aluminum aircon vent is somehow reflected on the side windows comparing to the previous tint; must be the metallic properties. No problem with night driving I suppose as the shade doesn't veer off from the original installed tints.

There was a lancer EX being tinted along side my car and the owner opted for charcoal 06 sides, charcoal 13 front. Charcoal 06 is reflective from the outside, but I suppose only when near the car since the shade looks dark. Also got a glimpse of the inside and it looks like those of blacked-out shuttle public transports. I really wanted a blacked out look but I'm having difficulties driving at night with it; confirmed it with while parking a relative's vehicle.

Workmanship, the only other tint that I had installed lately is from Huper Optik. For comparison purposes, the installers in Solargard Santolan were good and they do work fast, but quality of work, I have to give it to the Huper Optik guy. Mas pulido, ika nga nila.

    Preety satisfied with the product.

i went there a day after my installation, showed them the tint done at one of the windows. 3~4 installer/remover kasi gumawa. Sabi nalang ng lady not Rose kasi Sir hindi masyadong nahagod yung tint ng installer balik nyo nalang after 10weeks kung hindi nawala. I'll bet after 10weeks i'll be back there for a tint replacement.

basta alam ko yung long hair yung gumawa duon sa side na yun. palpak

I found the info here very useful in deciding what type of tint to install...
here my contribution: ws= titanium 16 (medium black) all windows titanium 6 ( super black)
barely ka makita sa loob during daytime, may maaninag ka na shadows pero face wala talaga...Kapag wala direct light black na black talaga looking thru the ws or sides. mag update ako later kapag mataas ang araw dahil late afternoon na natapos pagtint sa car ko. Night driving visibility very good. for me halos parang wala tint ang dating. No problem din sa side mirror.

Hope this help others deciding to get solar gard tints.
