Finally had the time to have the car's tint replaced. I asked for all sides to be replaced with charcoal 13. Let me chip in with my first day with the product.
Shade doesn't differ much from the previous 3m FX-ST 20 but the heat rejection is there, Morning at 8 am, you'd feel something prickling your arm with the 3m tint. 10 am with the solargard, the heat is there but barely noticeable. Haven't tried (and probably never will) leaving the car under the sun, but travelling at 1 pm, heat from the windows is much much more bearable.
Although it feels like there are certain situations when the passenger's silhouttes can be seen easily. I also noticed that the aluminum aircon vent is somehow reflected on the side windows comparing to the previous tint; must be the metallic properties. No problem with night driving I suppose as the shade doesn't veer off from the original installed tints.
There was a lancer EX being tinted along side my car and the owner opted for charcoal 06 sides, charcoal 13 front. Charcoal 06 is reflective from the outside, but I suppose only when near the car since the shade looks dark. Also got a glimpse of the inside and it looks like those of blacked-out shuttle public transports. I really wanted a blacked out look but I'm having difficulties driving at night with it; confirmed it with while parking a relative's vehicle.
Workmanship, the only other tint that I had installed lately is from Huper Optik. For comparison purposes, the installers in Solargard Santolan were good and they do work fast, but quality of work, I have to give it to the Huper Optik guy. Mas pulido, ika nga nila.
