Did you install clear Rike Cool in front? Had mine also from LA.
Do you notice a rainbow effect at night from oncoming vehicles headlights? I find this annoying. Even red tailights are affected - double glare.

well so far, three people have experience the rainbow effect/glare (including myself). si mackieboy boy pa lang ang nagsabi na walang problema.

mackieboy, how long have you had your rike? do you remember if it did have glare at the start? i'm thinking na baka yung glare is because the tint is still 'fresh' (had mine installed 3 wks ago) and that it'll disappear kung fully cured na. otherwise, may problema talaga yung tint ko. will need to bring it back to LA cars.

last week ata ng feb ko pinakabit yung sakin...
i use my car early morning and late night (halos hindi siya nasisinagan ng araw these past few weeks, covered pa parking) pero wala talaga ako na kikita na "rainbow effect")
by the way, nung bagong kabit siya, madaming small bubbles pero talagang sinadya ko na ibilad siya sa araw ng two weeks.. ayun, naging maayos naman so far...

pwede tayo quick EB to check if you want.. baka kasi colorblind ako kaya hindi ko nakikita yang rainbow colors..

just need to correct myself. it's not actually a 'rainbow' effect, but more of a double glare where i see a light reflection above and below the headlights of oncoming vehicles. Same thing with the tail lights of cars in front of me (more pronounced kapag nag-brake). I am having this problem only at night. During the day it's not noticeable, maybe coz of the bright surroundings

hmmm, something like that pero not exactly. kasi hindi naman hazy yung buong view ng windshield. it's actually clear, except for the reflection from light sources (like headlights, tail/brake lights, stop lights, etc.)

Has anybody installed Ryke Cool for over a month and still experiences that rainbow/double-glare effect? Also, how can you tell an original Rike Cool from a fake? Ang V-Kool yata may nakasulat na V-Kool sa tint mismo. 3M is also the same.

Hi Guys, rainbow effect on tint is normally a sign of unhealed tint. Rainbow effect normally takes time to heal out depending on the kind of film installed. The thicker the film such as IR ( infra red ) take longer ( months ) before they start to cure. Brands such as Solargard, 3M, Sungard heal easier than Rike Cool or Vkool. Evaporation is the solution for this and hence, takes it's time. The rainbowish pattern is caused by the shampoo and water combination between the tint and glass. Once evaporated, the soapy solution disappears giving a clean and clear glass effect.

based from experience, yes.
i chose to park under direct sunlight for about three weeks.. (7am until dark, except pag gagarahe na sa bahay).

small and medium sized bubbles disappeared.

well i think, for this one, "patience" is really needed.
anyway, it has 5 years warranty (let's jost hope that the shop - LA cars - and Rike will still exist whenever we are about to claim...
