during my training days, there was no such thing as holidays.

Unahan na yan ng file ng leave ng Monday. Mahuli mag file eh kailangan pumasok.

If I remember correctly may rule and ibang company pag LWOP ka before the holiday, yung holiday mo isn't paid too. Meaning pag absent ka sa Monday, 3 days kagad LWOP mo. I just heard that from my mother, don't know if it's still implemented today.
