I've never been to the US and have never applied for a US visa. I'm planning to bring my family to the US next year, but is also thinking of watching the Pacquiao fight this November with some friends (may visa na sila).

Aabot kaya US visa ko for the Nov. Pacquiao fight if now ako mag apply? And do I need to apply for myself first or sabay na buong family?

Pati pala contact person in US, wala din ako malagay.

seriously unless you're on their terrorist list, you and your family will not have any problem getting a US visa.

Meron kami naka time deposit pero in dollar sya. Pwede kaya ito?

    More questions:

May nabasa ako sa website ng us embassy that all documents must be original. So do I need to show land titles? Do I really need to bring the original title?

Nabasa ko din sa site: Any documents received will not be returned and will be destroyed (except the passport).

isipin mo lang lahat na pwede mo dalhin to prove na you're coming back here.

me nakasabay ako dati na matanda babae na(nakasuot pa nga chaleko ng rotary or lions yata) me $40K yata sa account nya. ang tinanong lang yata e history na pano nya naipon yun di makasagot ng maayos. nadeny.

and lastly pakita mo na importante ka sa business mo kaya you need to comeback sa pinas.

personally, i dont think madedeny ka boybi heheheheh.

Kasi pag Canadian citizen ka (also Filipino citizen, bali dual ako) at gamitin mo Canadian passport free entry na walang time restrictions... Sarap talaga, even sa EU countries free entry. Or any G8 countries and all Commonwealth countries (these are the former British colonies) for that matter and selected G20 countries allow Canadians without visa...

    OT na

but you'd still need a visa to enter China. Also you need to use your Philippine passport to enter this country.

yup! bring all your documents that can prove your financial capabilities and ties here, it's better na dala mo kung biglang hanapin, hinde naman sigurado na titingnan pa mga yan.

OK na yun. if you have insurances (life, pension) pwede rin yun. OR/CR ng vehicles.

as for the original documents, don't worry about it, nasa possession mo all the time yun, the only time na bibigay mo sa consul if gusto niya tingnan, pag hinde hiningi eh di hawak mo lang all the time.

mas natatakot pa ako nun mag apply ako ng OZ, Canada visas na walang interview kasi doon they will just based your application sa mga na submit mong documents at least dito sa US you have a chance to reason out.

unless you're in their terrorist list, I don't think you'll have a problem.

just go there prepared with all your documents to prover your ties OK na yun.

lahat ng documents to prove na di ka mag tnt dun. even your credit card statements, itr for the last X years, yung title kahit nakasanla kung pwede mo hiramin or kung me nakalagay na mortgaged okay lang. kotse na kahit financing okay lang (ibig sabihin capable ka magbayad ng monthly dues). minsan mas mahirap pa yung maraming pera pero wala ka proof how did you attained it.

Dati it was easy to get Canadian citizenship (back in the early 90's) cause they really need skilled immigrants dahil kulang sila sa tao. All it takes was 3 years of residency and pass a test about Canadian value and culture and that's it you take your oath afterwards... Instant G8 citizen ka na with all its perks.

According to the Canadian Gov't, it still considers the Philippines as one of its biggest source of labor whether it be for immigrants or temp. workers, etc...

Seeking residencies in coastal cities like Vancouver or big cities like Toronto would be difficult. Even interiors like Alberta, Montreal, Quebec are getting harder but not impossible. The next frontiers are the praires like Saskatchewan, Manitoba, etc....

Sorry for the OT. Maybe we should have a Canadian immigration thread around...

it is still very easy, just immigrate as an investor under the provincial nominees. sa couple of my cousins went there as an investors, they are now living in Richmond, BC.

pera pera lang yan, even in OZ just buy a house and and it will be very easy to immigrate.

maganda lang mamasyal sa Canada, US and OZ I really enjoyed all my visits to those 1st world countries, but to actually live there. nah!!! there is still no place like Manila, inspite of all the things happening here. dito pa rin masarap tumira.

actually a few years back a friend of mine offered me to immigrate to US through the investor's visa. I was seriously thinking about it. punmayag lang ako aayusin na lahat ng papers, and the one who will help me was the former secretary of immigration ni Bill Clinton. my friend's family went this route and they are now living in Sacramento.

but after ko pagisipan I don't think I can survive living there. I can go there anytime I want anyways. siguro kung wala na talagang pag asa dito saka na punta, and I'm sure I'm living WAY better than majority of the Americans.

this year naman another offer came this time sa OZ. ito mas maganda ang offer pwede pumunta as immigrant tapos patatak lang ng passport then pwede na bumalik dito. maybe next year pwede pagisipan mabuti.

The problem is majority of people who want to immigrate don't have much money to begin with or are middle class/upper middle class here in Manila.

I toyed with the idea of leaving Manila and going to Canada or Australia (US too difficult) when I realised that I won't EVER be able to afford a house on my own. But then again I'm not that strong to live alone in a foreign country so I guess I'll just have to deal with my mediocre life here in the Philippines.
