hinukay pala sa baul itong thread..
anyway, nag-apply kami ng buong family (mom, dad and brothers) at luckily we were given a 10yr multiple entry. erpat ko lang ang tinanong nung time na yun at talagang sinwerte lang kami nun. pero malapit na rin mag-expire yung visa namin. hindi naman siguro kailangan agad mag-apply bago mag-expire yung visa, tama ba ako?... ok naman siguro na after ng expiration eh dun ka pa lang mag-aapply?
bumili na lang kayo ng bahay sa las vegas, instant resident na kayo! yan ang iniipon ko ngaun may 60K house dun na nakita ako last time, magkano lang yun mga roughly 4M. eh di i-enjoy ko pa US for a longer duration. nakakabili kayo ng ng tig 2M na tsikot dito eh 4M lang pang hihinayangan
gen.miting san mo naman narinig yung maging resident ka agad pag bumili ka ng bahay sa states? since 1992 till now we've owned 5 houses and 2 years ago lang namin nakuha green card namin, kahit 8 years na kami nakatira sa states. also my tita just bought a house here in california last year and didn't become a resident. pati bahay sa vegas 60k parang sobrang mura naman ata non baka down lang yon? anyway kahit 60k lang yan bawian ka naman nan sa annual tax, monthly tax, annual insurance, monthly insurance, HOA.
Just wanna share. Kaya ako napadpad sa tsikot because an ex boyfriend gave me a link to tsikot.
Ten years ko ring pinaghandaan to. Not so confident, i still asked him how i should comport myself during the interview. I had every reason to be denied a visa then. I finished a medical course. I was so young. No property in my name. I saw my friends got denied countless times. I said: i wont give them the chance. I strategized. I pursued further studies away from the medical field. My professor then, a doctor got denied because of the possibility that he would make great bucks in the US. I learned from him too. Until i thought i got already what it takes for the US Embassy to take me seriously, i applied. I was interrogated for about 15 minutes. The last part of her question was about my itinerary. I answered: my airport of entry would be Detroit, Maam. But i'll fly out to New York after a week. She asked again: what are you planning to do in NY? To shop, Ma'am. How much money are you making? I gave her the figure in gross. She told me: ok i will give you a visa. Enjoy America!
Never ask the duration of your visa when granted.
^^^ Hahaha! Baka nalula Sis sa figure na ibinigay mo....
Kailangan nila ngayon ang pera for their economic well-being....

Hahaha! Sir, maybe she didnt realize that if my income would be taxed with other deductions, 35% of which compulsorily goes to the coffers of the government and its agency. Just enough to tide me over to the next pay. Hmmm.
But really, being in the US Immigration is a different ball game. The visa isn't a guarantee that they'll admit you. You have the immigration officers to deal with after deplaning. If youre not gonna give a good answer you run the risk of ATA (airport to airport).
wow! 10 years mong pinaghandaan ang pag apply ng US visa? damn!
as for the immigration officers never did I experience heavy questioning from them. just basic questions like how long is my intended stay and I'm out of their counter less than 5 minutes.
that's a wise move... sometimes also it helps to give the annual figure instead of the monthly
^^^Yeah. We are not similarly situated then. Age is always a factor. Age indicates productivity and the capacity to compete.
As i have said, i was so young when i first thought of going there. I have reasons to be denied as i have relatives there who are also medical professionals. My getting a tourist visa is, almost always, presumed to circumvent some regulations relating to hiring of med prof.
Well, for some others maybe America presumes that they are too old and feeble to work on those jobs that Americans dont like. :-) so US would (considering that they are now of advanced age or in their twilight years) grant them US Visa. Who would want to be caught dead in a foreign country.
You can't become a legal resident just by purchasing a house in the US. However, the laws do not prohibit foreigners from owning a house in the US. Owning a house in the US and being a legal resident are two different things and being one is not a requirement to do the second. Again, if I understand your previous post you are here on vacation under a b1/b2 visa and doing anything which is prohibited, e.g. seeking employment, will cause you to void your own visa by virtue of the violation. Remaining in the US longer than what has been permitted will also cause you to void your own visa under 222(g). Now if you have the 60K needed to buy the house without a loan and it was brought in as cash, check, or any form of negotiable instrument I hope you declared it upon entry to the US unless you enjoy being charged with currency smuggling.
puwede po bang malaman sa US embassy kung kelan ma-a-approve ang visa ng isang family, after i-approve ang petition?
Same with with me, bro... Normally, I would only ask for a week or a couple of weeks' stay to attend meetings, conventions or personal visit et al... However, typically, they would give you a month's stay....
Since a few years ago, they're taking biometrics at their immigration counters...... We're now part of their huge database...
I remember when I renewed my US Visa a couple of years ago, what was written in my Certificate of Employment was my annual income... The Consul asked me what was my monthly income (+ purpose of securing the Visa). If you're not ready with the number, then it could spell disaster...![]()
