hinukay pala sa baul itong thread..
anyway, nag-apply kami ng buong family (mom, dad and brothers) at luckily we were given a 10yr multiple entry. erpat ko lang ang tinanong nung time na yun at talagang sinwerte lang kami nun. pero malapit na rin mag-expire yung visa namin. hindi naman siguro kailangan agad mag-apply bago mag-expire yung visa, tama ba ako?... ok naman siguro na after ng expiration eh dun ka pa lang mag-aapply?

gen.miting san mo naman narinig yung maging resident ka agad pag bumili ka ng bahay sa states? since 1992 till now we've owned 5 houses and 2 years ago lang namin nakuha green card namin, kahit 8 years na kami nakatira sa states. also my tita just bought a house here in california last year and didn't become a resident. pati bahay sa vegas 60k parang sobrang mura naman ata non baka down lang yon? anyway kahit 60k lang yan bawian ka naman nan sa annual tax, monthly tax, annual insurance, monthly insurance, HOA.

Just wanna share. Kaya ako napadpad sa tsikot because an ex boyfriend gave me a link to tsikot.
Ten years ko ring pinaghandaan to. Not so confident, i still asked him how i should comport myself during the interview. I had every reason to be denied a visa then. I finished a medical course. I was so young. No property in my name. I saw my friends got denied countless times. I said: i wont give them the chance. I strategized. I pursued further studies away from the medical field. My professor then, a doctor got denied because of the possibility that he would make great bucks in the US. I learned from him too. Until i thought i got already what it takes for the US Embassy to take me seriously, i applied. I was interrogated for about 15 minutes. The last part of her question was about my itinerary. I answered: my airport of entry would be Detroit, Maam. But i'll fly out to New York after a week. She asked again: what are you planning to do in NY? To shop, Ma'am. How much money are you making? I gave her the figure in gross. She told me: ok i will give you a visa. Enjoy America!
Never ask the duration of your visa when granted.

Hahaha! Sir, maybe she didnt realize that if my income would be taxed with other deductions, 35% of which compulsorily goes to the coffers of the government and its agency. Just enough to tide me over to the next pay. Hmmm.
But really, being in the US Immigration is a different ball game. The visa isn't a guarantee that they'll admit you. You have the immigration officers to deal with after deplaning. If youre not gonna give a good answer you run the risk of ATA (airport to airport).
Be careful with channels like "China Observer" on YouTube. There is a clear bias in their posts and...
