i saw some mobile providers like 3 mobile and 1010... there is a possibility na meron din... but i'm not 100% sure.
Guys, query lang..
mura ba ipod video 80GB or notebook computers/tablet pc sa hongkong?
Or the same lang d2 sa pinas?
And pagbalik ba sa pinas magbayad pa ko ng duties & taxes for this items
sa customs?
Been planning to buy this items when Im in hongkong this december..
Electronics are much cheaper in HK than in Manila. Especially Apple products. You can buy Apple products here since they have International Warranty.
sir n4s, any idea kung may duties&taxes un pag balik sa pinas? baka kc mura tas pagbalik d2 may duties&taxes parang parehas na rin?? isa ipod and notebook/tablet pc lang pala ung bibilhin ko.. thanks...
Just arrived from HK. Stayed for 4D/3N at Panda Hotel.
I've never seen so many skyscrapers in my life. Kahit sa bundok, may mga skyscrapers. And it's so clean. Kahit wala akong nakitang maraming trashcan, the locals know not to litter. Kaya siguro nandiri si Claire Danes sa Manila before, kasi may point of comparison siya. Can't blame her, kasi ako ngang Pinoy, mahihiya kung kinumpara ang HK and Manila.
And their MTR is so efficient and punctual. Streets are well-lighted kahit sa gabi, and my wife and I felt safe kahit 10pm na kami bumabalik ng hotel. Yung mga major malls and buildings are interconnected via skywalks. Nakakainggit talaga. Sana, maging ganun din sa Metro Manila.
Royal Pacific Hotel is excellently placed for just about everything in TST. It's directly above the China and Macao ferry terminal also. Just check out, down the escalators and you're in the departure hall.
I have stayed there dozens of times.
Be sure to check on what exhibitions/trade shows are bing held before you decide your travel dates. The hotel room rate will more than double during these dates. You can probably find out on the web about trade shows.
For a cheap day out, get the star ferry from Kowloon TST to Central (HK$2.6), then a 5 minute walk to the main bus station to catch the number 6 bus for the 40 minute ride to Stanley Market (HK$8). There is a nice beach there also, although I think the market is a typical tourist rip-off. The highlight is the bus ride. It's like a 40 minute rollercoaster ride, and goes up and down the first mountain into Repulse Bay (a fabulously beautiful deep water bay with a unbelievable beach) and then up and down the second mountain into Stanley. Breathtaking!
The bus drivers swing these huge double decker buses along the narrow winding cliffside roads, and you watch in amazement wondering how you manage to firstly stay on the road and secondly miss the buses coming in the opposit direction. Wonderful entertainment and incredible scenery throughout.
^^^ We rode the Star Ferry from Central back to Kowloon. Although maganda ang view, the ride wasn't long enough (less than 10 mins. lang) for us to imbibe the experience. Pero mura nga, kaya ok lang.
We visited Victoria Peak (Peak Tower, Galleria Peak). We went via double-decker bus (Bus 15), and the fare was around HK$9. Ride took around 30mins. Bibilib ka sa mga drivers, kasi the road was long and winding, 2 lanes lang, pero hindi man lang sumasabit kahit may kasalubong na sasakyan. We regret having taken the tram on the return trip to Central though, kasi it cost HK$22 per head, tapos less than 5mins lang yung ride, hindi pa airconditioned. Pagbaba pa namin sa terminal, its a long walk to the MTR station going back to our hotel in Tsuen Wan.
Anyway, it was well worth the trip, and we're considering going back early next year
Beofre making travel plans to HK, you need to check this web site for local trade shows.......

WHY????? because hotel room rates during these shows will at least be DOUBLE the normal price AND they are booked up well in advance.
correct ka dyan sir.super ganda talaga sa HK.
napaka aliwalas... kahit maraming buses, wala kang makikita o maaamoy man lang na usok galing sa tambutso nila. napaka disciplined din ng mga motorists. maraming malilit na streets pero di mo makikitang nagsisingitan mga kotse. ganda ngang tingnan from our hotel window. the cars are all lined up in their respective lanes. sarap maglakad the whole stretch of nathan road. that's why we keep coming back to HK.

guys... punta kami ni kumander to hongkong this dec... here's our proposed agenda:
day 1 - arrive at hk, book-in sa SilverMine Beach Hotel, Lantau Island
day 2 - Disneyland trip
day 3 - checkout from SilverMine, check-in to Royal Plaza Hotel Kowloon
day 4 - go back to Pinas
do you guys think that this is ok? I choose silvermine para medyo malapit sya to Disneyland HK, then sa Roytal Plaza para shopping sa last 2 days.
thanks
Bitin yata ang 4 days sa inyo kung lilipat kayo ng hotel. Or pwede na kayong magcheckout sa Day 2 before going to Disney, pero ang problema saan nyo papalagay mga baggage nyo.
