No deaths, yet. But injured numbers still growing.

Hong Kong'''s undercover medics reveal hidden toll of protests

"The Hidden Clinic says it has clandestinely treated 300-400 protesters with an array of injuries: broken and dislocated bones, gaping wounds and exposure to tear gas so prolonged that they were coughing up blood. It also says the severity of the injuries has increased sharply in the past week, with hard-core protesters and police increasingly tough on each other."

"This behind-the-scenes doctoring, outside of government hospitals, suggests that the official toll of 1,235 injured protesters treated in public hospitals since June 9 significantly undercounts both the number and full extent of those hurt in the more than 400 demonstrations tallied by the government."

"Asked about protesters' fears of public wards, the Hospital Authority said in a statement to AP that it "upholds the importance of patient confidentiality, which is the cornerstone of patient confidence" and "has also reminded law enforcement departments to be mindful of the respect for patient data privacy in hospitals."

    The protesters aren't convinced.

"Government hospitals have police," said a 19-year-old who came prepared for trouble at Sunday's protest, "

"These kids are striving for a whole era's freedom," said the Chinese medicine practitioner who devotes one evening per week to treating protesters, seeing as many as a dozen each time. "For those of us who don't dare go out, the very least we can do is treat their wounds."

NBA and the other team owners should stand behind Morey.

NBA should not allow China to bully them into submission.

Apple's turn? Every perceived slight, no matter how small or unrelated, will not escape China. In native tongue we say -- "Nabu-ang na."

China warns Apple against 'unwise and reckless' support of Hong Kong protesters | Hong Kong Free Press HKFP

China warns Apple against ‘unwise and reckless’ support of Hong Kong protesters

"An opinion piece in the People’s Daily, the mouthpiece of the ruling Communist Party, highlighted a transport app available on Apple’s store that it alleged helped protesters identify police in Hong Kong.

Apple’s approval for the app obviously helps rioters,” the article said."

"“Does this mean Apple intended to be an accomplice to the rioters?”

The article then cautioned that: “The map app is just the tip of the iceberg”.

It alleged that a song advocating “Hong Kong independence” had appeared on the “Apple Music Store” in the southern Chinese city, then issued an ominous warning.

“Nobody wants to drag Apple into the lingering unrest in Hong Kong. But people have reason to assume that Apple is mixing business with politics, and even illegal acts,” it said.

“Apple has to think about the consequences of its unwise and reckless decision,” the article said."

If China can terrorize big corporations like that, imagine how China terrorizes the individual? "Scary" is an understatement.

Big company yes, but individual lalo na yung citizens nila I don't think so, I've been living in China for quite some time now and wala naman akong nakikitang they've been terrorizing their citizens, but well it depends also if that individual criticize the government then you can expect a knock on your door, but I think they need to do that, they are governing 1B+ people, so they really need to govern with an iron hand, like what my late friend from Taiwan said, democracy is not for everyone, think about it, if China is democratic country now, sobrang gulo siguro dito, mas magulo pa nga diyan sa pinas eh, we can't walk alone in the middle of the night without being mugged or held up, dito I can walk alone without fear that someone will rob you.

Yes, I don't disagree wtih you sir. There should ba a balance in everything to achieve harmony. Too much of anything is bad. Too much freedom, and too much restrictions are both not good for the soul.

But you can't have power concentrated to one side only. This leads to abuse. Both sides, the governed and those governing should have power -- not necessarily equal power -- to counter each other to balance things out when necessary. That is the way to harmony.

As I see it, the Chinese government of today have too much power, and even clinging on to that power like leeches, for the longest time that they can cling on to it. Like forever.

As you pointed out, individuals can't even speak out against the Chinese government if the government happen to do something wrong, without consequences coming back to them. Those who find the courage to do so gets jailed, or worse. That's what I meant by "terrorize the individual" -- those individuals who dare to stand up against tyranny were snuffed out -- and that kind of terrorizing is never good in my book.

I may have not made it clear in my post kanina, when I say talk against, I mean against it's policy or talk bad about China or its leaders, but if they talk about corrupts officials, Beijing listens and investigate it immediately.

Intindihin nyo kasi mga ancient mythology eh

There are certain times in our past na the white rules, minsan the blacks minsan the yellows

Yes, the blacks once ruled the world in the person of Hannibal of Africa, he conquered most of the ancent civilization then The Romans wiped him out. Even when Alexander the Great beat Persia, the Persians were shuffling Arab or Black conquerors in a span of hundreds pf years

So if we go forward even further, there was a time when a group of Chinese momgols / warriors conquered all of asia and even as far as Roman outskirts cities in Eastern Europe.
Sino sya? Si Genghis Khan, a Chinaman

So the patterns are here, maybe it’s time again for the Chinese to rule the world.

So why did I reference mythology, not world history as I described abovd.

Eh kasi yun naman talaga ang patterns.

Earth is not ruled by God alone. Earth is distributed to a group of sub Gods per region. The gods of Romans / Greeks , the gods of Norse / Vikings, and the Gods of Asia na meron pa din rank and file. From time to time Asian Gods fight and bicker against each other so as a result their people get weakened. Look at India, India was once a superpower of the world because their Gods were efficient.

Now the Gods of the Americas are weakening coz of melting pot of races in US. While China is as pure as all Chinese. Loke Hitler who wanted an alll Aryan race of super soldiers, he almost succeeded in conquering the world.

Eh pano mananalo ang America sa China, and andami Chinese nasa America, even vloggers sa youtube who review new Apple products or new cars even the New proud American supercar, Chevy C8, mas magaling pa Intsek mag-review and they are getting invited ha even in the most White Supremacists state of Us, where the new Chevy C8 was first launched

Few convinced by Apple's case for Hong Kong app removal - BBC News

Food for thought -- Scary. The Communist Party of China can crush any country if this happens.

“What would Huawei do if they were the dominant 5G provider for a country, and that country’s leaders said the wrong thing?”

Hongkong is burning for a reason..communist china betrayed them with a promise of autonomy which isn't true

Hongkong will get over this turmoil with a sting in the butt

para sa mga HINDI NAKAKA ALAM

do you people know how this all started?

early last year a 19 yr old HK guy and his 20 yr old HK gf went to Taiwan

The guy returned to HK without the gf

turned out he killed his gf and stuffed her body in a suitcase and dumped it near a subway station in Taipei

since the crime happened in Taiwan the guy had to be sent to Taiwan for trial but there was no extradition treaty

so early this year nagkaroon ng proposal for extradition treaty

eh mga HK people praning (paranoid) when it comes to China

para sa HK people that would give China overseas reach (extradition treaties work both ways)

    THAT'S HOW IT ALL STARTED

it started with a murder in Taiwan

    di niyo alam yun no?

Taiwan even said "Thanks, China, but no thanks for your help." They're that "OA" too, you know. They don't give hoot about the murder if this extradition is in exchange for that. They won't take the bait.

Bye to the other issue. I'm dropping it. Did I reply to you, when you replied back? This is another issue. Man, sometimes for someone who appears to know it all, you are dense. Sorry to say it, sir.
